when i was sch i used to volunteer as a church warden on campus and there was this gurl i used to flirt(poorly) with, i didnt really care though cause she had a boyfriend and all.

The man started following us round the farm, it didn't matter what direction it was we were headed, this old man just kept following us. When we walked, he walked and when we ran, he ran too. We finally made our way out of the maze (pun intended) farm and the baba followed us out and went his way. Years later it occurred to me that the old man was also lost in the maize farm and was only following us because he thought we could show him the way out. It was pretty scary though because we were told stories of people who cut off children's head for rituals.

Happend when I was in my 2nd year in RSUST.

There was a gunshot and followed by some sporadic shots one faithful day in my hostel, we heard shouts from outside, I beckoned on my roommates for us to go and rescue the guy who was shot, but they all said they won't risk going out so I opened the door and they bolted the door and warned me that I shouldn't think of coming back.
Gladly, I saw another blockmate, so we went to save the guy who was shot. Next thing we saw was the shooters aiming and firing into the crowd from the distance. I couldn't remember how I ran, all I remember was when I got to the Hostel toilet and saw over 8guys sandwiched in a toilet that could hardly hold 3 persons, infact one guy was already trying to squeeze himself through the toilet window. I couldn't hold myself but bust into laughter... I was almost lynched

Let me share this one. Although I wasn't directly involved in the story, it happened in my house. It happened like 10 years ago...I called a guy over to work on wiring the house DSTV to my room upstairs. So, the guy was working in the ceiling while I was on my desktop computer, reading stuff on nairaland. The guy was a talkative and I just wished he would shut up and let me read nairaland in peace. And then he suddenly stopped talking. It was so abruptly that I had to stop what I was doing to go check on him. As he climbed down from the ceiling, he looked like he had seen a ghost. He didn't talk till he was by my room door, then he said there is a big owl in my ceiling. The way he dramatized the size of the owls eyes made me laugh.

Anyway, he left and said he couldn't complete the job. I didn't bother trying to check on the owl, I just left the room and sent my younger brother to try and find someone that could help Chase the owl away. I went out and when I came back in the evening, I saw an unfamiliar pair of slippers in our upstairs bathroom. I looked up and saw the ceiling was damaged. When I asked my dad what happened, he just kept laughing. Even my mom was laughing. What had happened was that one of the most feared men in our area had volunteered to kill the owl. This man is someone that used to kill armed robbers back in the day and drag their bodies on the floor. He had gone into the ceiling through my room and after just a few minutes, they heard a loud sound in the bathroom (on the other side of the building from my room). The guy crashed down from the ceiling. He was so disappointed in himself, he left his slippers in our bathroom and went home like that. It was just so funny, cos the man is such a fearless person.

The owl terrorize us small Sha, before we finally got rid of it.

It was during my NYSC in the North. I just finished watching ball and entered my lodge around 10pm when Bandits attacked our estate and started shooting for close to 2 hours . I was the only one staying in 3 bedroom selfcon apartment because my lodge mates were batch B and i was Batch C. I was just shaking and ran to the ceiling and started posting for help on my WhatsApp status.. Seriously I wasn't thinking of any other thing that day than death.. I was so scared and half dead. I was crying like a baby... Thank God Nigeria police later came and sent them off. It was a massive shout out that night and tot its gonna be my last night. Those police and army tried dat night. It was my first time of hearing Ak47 at work.. It was so loud and intense.

Mine happened during my 300 level at ADSU Mubi. My friends and I finished studying at night and we were ready to go home (off K) at GRA. As usual, we branched through the female hostel to see our Melons. One of us by name Abraham (AB) couldn't hold on to our delay, he begged us severally and he even had to plead with us to God so we could round up timely in order to meet up to Gate time because all school gates closes by 10pm except for the school gate 1 (due to Boko Haram Insurgency). AB's efforts to get us was all futile. AB left us some minutes past 10pm. Exactly around 10:30pm, my 3 other friends signalled and i bid goodnight to my GF and joined them to head home. We decided to take the shorter route towards the former Bus Admin Department to reach the gate within shorter minutes. Upon reaching the Burnt Business Admin Department which was occupied by darkness, we suddenly heard some strange noises coming from the dark background and this noise kept increasing with echoes. We stopped with hault like say we dey parade ground. I was in front with a good flashlight and almost flashed to know what was happening when we started hearing screams and louder footsteps running towards us. I turned to ask my friends what the hell is happening when i come realize say na only me been dey there since(ma guys don tear race leave me tey tey). Considering the trending Boko Haram and cultist wahala wey students dey encounter, i no know how i take do screeches come overtake my friends. Musa that i saw running over a pool of water could not be found with any part of his body showing sign of wetness after that race. Could it be that Musa ran on top of water? That scene still remains a mystery to us. Dave and Ypee while running for their lives where busy doing body contact like say one of them wan sacrifice the other should those beast catch up with us. After finally running back to the school central area, we alerted some students and after about an hour, we got sticks, rods, stones and summoned courage to go towards the department since we heard no gunshots nor bomblast. We started throwing stones towards the building on shoot to inflict.....Lo and behold, A.B's voice came from the background begging us not to break his head.....he confessed that after leaving us, he got to the school gate and met it locked, he pleaded with securities to help him open but they refused and send him back to sleep in school. He said he got so frustrated and thought of a way to pay us back, that was why he set up the whole drama. Since that time, my friends and i dey leave school before 9pm, but I STILL HAVEN'T FORGIVEN ABRAHAM (AB)�����

I've got a lot of em, but mine was real it happened wen my mum died year 2009 I was in ss1 then, the trauma affected my a lot and I ended up been sick most times.

so I would be at home alone in my sick bed at night and my siblings would be outside playing, suddenly kitchen utensils would start dropping on the floor,the pots covers would open and close plates and spoons clatter, water running and so many commotions would be going on in the kitchen. I would be scared shitless outaa my mind then I would hear footsteps walking around the corridor and passages and also incoherent mumblings.

At one point in the night we were all in and suddenly the door to my room I shared with my lil bro just opened as if someone pushed it, mind u this door can't be pushed by wind cos the hinges are kinda old and stiff, I suddenly felt cold and weak with dis feeling that someone was standing right in the room with us and looking at me.
