My heart is filled with tears as I type this because today, the devil used Mr Joel in the recruit department of workforce group to be the stumbling blocks to my breakthrough.

I went for an interview with workforce group gbagada, and during my credentials check, Mr Joel accused me of tampering with my D.O.B on my Waec certificate just because it was laminated and the ink looks faint. Mind you the D.O.B on my O'Level corresponded with my ID card and my birth certificate.

I tried to prove my innocence, but rather he chased me away from his desk, and that was how I lost the job as I wasn't interviewed. I almost cried right in front of everyone there, because I have been searching for a job for months now and this happened.

I don't know who needs to hear this but please, do not laminate your credentials, so that you can be able to defend the authenticity of it when your recruiters touch them.

A young man in the name of Ayo who also works in that department saw how downcast I was and walk up to me and encouraged me not to be troubled, that something big will come my way. Dude, it's well. But you should be glad at the same time, Workforce group no get credibility again. If to sey dem accept those credentials, you for perambulate that place reach 6times for documentation and other useless things before they eventually ghost you or end up with a sales rep job.

Secondly, I know Joel well and I dont think he can be wicked unless its a blatant alteration.

Way forward........Go back to workforce on a Saturday, when the workload on Joel must have been light, cos work stress sometimes may trigger hostility, try talk to Bayo also. If there is a way around, they may have you advised accordingly.

Take this as a mistake and learn from it(I once lost a job of 1000 dollars monthly at the final stage; top management interview just because of a simple avoidable mistake that I made). Retrace your steps back to your high school/waec office, get a fresh certificate on the basis of 'damage to old document' and brace up for the next opportunity which I'm prophesing to be bigger than workforce. Well thank you for your advice and contribution.
Just like I said, I went there with all my original credentials including my birth certificate, of which the D.O.B corresponded with my ID card and waec certificate. And I tried explaining to him to also observe my other credentials that had my D.O.B on them, but he cared less about it.

He then told me to confess what I did to the certificate, when I told him that I didn't alter it he told me that he's throught with me and I can take my leave.

At least with the little I observed about him, he wasn't this wicked to other candidates, I was really devastated and shock as to why I was wicked when it got to my turn. Or could it be because I was the last person? At a point there I started to think maybe what happened there was more than the physical, maybe spirituality is involved.

As for getting a new certificate, is that really possible in Nigeria? And why? There is no alterations in my certificate. The last number in my year of birth is darker than the remaining 3 other numbers and that was Mr Joel's problem.

I'll try and go to the waec office where I collected the certificate but What would they do? Collect the one with me and get another one? Or remove the lamination from it?

I'm really confused but it's well. Thanks anyways.
