** Lagos 4th Mainland Bridge to gulp N160bn

The Lagos State Government has said that its proposed Fourth Mainland Bridge will gulp N160bn.

Governor Babatunde Fashola on Wednesday said a survey had already been conducted for the project.

Fashola spoke in his Alausa Secretariat office while receiving members of the Silverbird Television Group on Wednesday.

He said the government was only waiting for the Environmental Impact Assessment report for work on the bridge to begin.

Fashola added that the project was being delayed because of inflation, adding that the government would ensure its completion before the end of its tenure.
The governor noted that the construction of the bridge was part of his electoral promises and that he would ensure its fulfilment..."

According to Engineer Aregbesola, while speaking at the occasion, the building of the 4th Lagos Mainland Bridge, which will link the entire Lagos Island, Victoria Island and Ikoyi with Ikorodu would greatly help at decongesting the traffic and open up the Langbasa/Epe Express Road and Ikorodu Axis to development..."

Your President put a timeline on it and his party have already spent 16 billion dollars on it with no tangible improvement.
Lagos has not committed a Kobo to the Fourth mainland bridge and i think you should know the difference now.
Project A. Put on the agenda but not yet financed nor with timeline.
Project B. Contracts given to several companies, phantom power projects executed, billions of dollars paid out to ghost contractors, a timeline of 2011 but not a single improvement in power supply up till now.

The inability of the Lagos state Government to construct the 4th Mainland Bridge doesn't stop GEJ from providing stable power supply. There's still no light. Pls, pass the message to him that the whole of Nigeria is still waiting.

There's no Government that has fulfilled 100 percent of its campaign promises but power is the main priority in this country so resolving it should be something you don't play around it.
