What looks to be nothing, finally becomes everything, and what is everything finally changes into nothing.. that’s life.

All day long and I can still hear the whispers of love from all coordinate, the message from lust doesn't need a whisper, they came directly to me sound and clear.

So far there's a breath within...life continues. I set my problems aside and continue living my life since problem are tends to happen, it's just like getting sick, you can't promise anyone you won't get sick again. The sickness will just come uninvited, so is what we call problem. Knowing what to do and overcoming it is what matters. Well in my own case, I don't know what to do, so I choose to do nothing.

I won't stop opening up a book just because a chapter annoyed me, just because Daenerys mother of dragons destroy kings landing doesn't mean I should stop watching Game of thrones, just because I have a complicated life doesn't mean I should stop living.

Once in a while I felt like enjoying the sweetness of life, at least just to make myself happy.
I felt like going to chicken republic to have some expensive dish and drinks but the money I have with me wasn't enough, so I head to the ATM post around the evening time to withdraw some cash.

It was quiet a long queue at the ATM post and also very annoying. Some stupid folks kept pushing themselves ignorantly and some baboons kept arguing on whom to use the ATM machine first. All this mixed together makes me wanna leave the ATM for a POS (point of sale).

While I'm still deciding whether to leave or not, the person infront of me was pushed backward which affected my equilibrium. I noticed I step on something but I didn't know it was someone not until the person tap my shoulder lightly.

" hey you are standing on my toes " that came from a sweet feminine voice.
I stood there looking at her beauty, speechless, static and maybe dumb at that moment. I never thought I've seen someone has beautiful as her ever since I came to Akungba.
One thing that caught me staring at her motionless was the fact that she isn't on make up and yet her beauty radiate the atmosphere.

" hello can you hear me? I said you are standing on my toes, you are hurting me " she let out like a kid who is about to cry.
When I heard this, my brain came back to normal.

I searched for words to say to her, but I don't know where went my vocabulary. So I turned back without saying anything to her, but I still feel like talking to her but I just don't know how to start. And that's very wired and strange for Aweedy.

I kept looking back occasionaly at her and sometimes I intermittently took longer before taking off my eyes. I think she got irritated with the way I'm doing so she went to sit on some demarcation blocks not too far from where I'm standing.

Blessed are the beautiful's for they shall be disturbed and also, blessed are the ugly's for they shall not be disturbed.

Where she sat down, a guy came to her and beginning to talk to her. I know his intentions, but I'm feeling jealous where I stood. That could be me, but no it's not me. I just stood there burning with jealousy.

I observed her for a while (PSY 401) then I noticed that she didn't feel like talking to the guy, her looks, her mode of response everything shows that she didn't want the guy attention. But the he-goat never stop, instead he kept throwing her several questions.
She seems like a bird in need of a rescue, so I took up the rescuing mission.
She saw me approaching her and she gave some kind of tired looks which I interpreted as "here comes another one " (PSY 302).

I approached her, look at the guy first as if I have a quarrel with him then I return my gaze back to her.

"emmm... Aduke why don't you go and use the ATM now, I'm the next on the queue " I said. I didn't know her name so I just use the name that came right into my head that moment which was Aduke.
She smiled at me for the first time and... I can't help but to smile back.

"thank you " she said as she head for the ATM machine.

" I'll wait for you here... " that came from the guy that was talking to her before. But I quickly cut in, he got me to deal with now.

" What for? " I cut in with a question.

"And how's that your business " he threw back with a frowned face.

" oh...Actually my business is to enlighten a fool" I replied calmly.

"And who's the fool here ?" he questioned.

"wrong question, the right question should be how may I help you to stop being foolish " I threw back.

" you don craze na your mama be fool " he fired back.

" well you won, cos it only a fool that will insult someone else mother, you are more than a fool at 40" I said defected then I turned to leave. I found out that the girl has gone, well I can't be too dissapointed. I smile back to myself as I rejoin the queue. At least I got him Occupied not to notice her departure. So if I'm not going to have her, neither will he.

I withdrawed the cash then I head for a wine store to get a good wine, I'm sure that they won't have the brand of wine that I want at the chicken republic so I get it on the way myself before going to the chicken republic.

I got to the chicken republic and ordered for a pounded yam with some crazy encouragement which includes polo, dried fish, and so on.

I was told to wait for a while, so I sat myself down. One of the attendant saw me with a wine so she brought two glasses of cups.
I wondered why she brought two cups whereas I'm the only one present at the table to drink the wine. Maybe she also want to drink. I put the wine on the table expecting her to come over for a glass of wine but she didn't, it was as if she didn't remember giving me two cups.

While I was still waiting for my food to be done, I saw a tray of meat pie and ice cream drag on the table I'm on.
I was about flaming up to shout " is this what I ordered for " when I saw the smile. Immediately I swallowed back the words. Sitting in front of me with a tray of ice cream and meat pie is the girl I met at the ATM machine.
She saw the cups and wine on the table and she put on a questioning face.

"am I interrupting something? " she asked. I put on a puzzled face cos she didn't seems to interrupt anything.

"No... No you ain't, you can have your snacks here " I said then she gave out this smile again that always got me crazy whenever I look at her.

"what happened? The bride didn't show up or dating goes wrong? " she asked as she swallow a spoon of ice-cream. I smiled a little cos what she said got me laughing but I manage to hold back myself.

" I'm not expecting any bride and I'm not here for a date " I replied in the best way I can.

"This is a good wine, so what's with the two toast cups " she said pointing at the cups on the table.

" oh the waitress must have thought the same, I brought the wine and she came with cups " I said and she show out her teeth.

" I never thought I will see you again... "

"Me neither " I cut in.

"thanks for what you did at the ATM, I... I so much appreciate it " she said with a smile.

" it's nothing so what's your name? " I asked as I stared into her beautiful eye.

"I'm beginning to wonder if you are a wizard or something cos you actually got me. Anyway my name is Mercy. Aduke is also my name but people don't call me that name I guess it too ancient " she said in a funny way and we both laugh together.

"I love Ancient !" I said and we both laugh to it again. After that she didn't ask for my name so I decided I should introduce myself to her.

"Anyway I'm Ayo by name, I don't have any ancient name like Alao or Adigun but I have oko Adesewa " I said and she almost spit out the ice cream in her mouth when she heard me saying oko Adesewa.

"what kind of mad man goes by the name oko Adesewa " she said and I was like 'Aye MI '

" the one sitting infront of you is " I replied with a little bit hurt.

"I'm sorry...just that every guy I've met are always single and searching or they are heart broken I never met one that is devoted to his girlfriend or wife cos someone that isn't like others isn't just weird but mad " She said. I took a while before replying her cos I didn't know how to lay it down to her.

"there was Adesewa and I'm not single " I said calmly.

"Ehen? So how's your girlfriend? " she asked and I smiled before answering her.

" I'm a medicine student " she replied. I put on a puzzled face as I flinch backward. There was a guy sitting at the next table so I quickly call his attention.

"neither of the two, I just know how to give replies " I said then I rest myself back on the chair. I wondered what is taking my pounded yam to be ready. Just as I was about complaining, I saw it coming. I smiled to myself and I saw Mercy smiling too.

"yummy yummy " she muttered.
I was expecting the dish to be served on my table but they fly it over my head to the next table Which happens to be the table the guy I abused sat on.

Immediately the guy saw the pounded yam, he wash his hands and began eating.
I stopped the waitress while returning back cos the whole thing as began to mystify me.

" that's my delicacy. I ordered for pounded yam and that specific type of soup hope you guys have not mistaken... " I never finish it when the waitress cut in.

" oh my God!!! " she exclaimed. I quickly process her reaction then I realized that she as mistakenly give the wrong person my food.

"oh your what? You mean that lunatic of a rodent is eating my meal? Thunder fire him today, go call ambulance, Cos We will die here ni ooo " I fired.

Somewhere in Adekunle Ajasin, I sat down to relax my brain after a long time reading. I decided to have some chat on whatsapp just to fun out my brain.

I made a loud hiss before speaking out.

I met her lying on the bed with her cover cloth all over her body, she was shaking then I knew she's having a fever. I searched for her health center card then we took her to the center.

While the doctor was attending to her, I sat down with baba dudu at the waiting room, when baba dudu direct my attention towards someone.

I took her to a corner leaving Shukurah and baba dudu together to have a chat.

"oh No... Is it anything I said or what? " I said slowly.

"No. Why do you want to collect my number? " she questioned.

"so that I can call and talk to you or why do you think I want to collect your number? " I asked.

I rushed forward to meet marvelous which was walking like a drunker. She's weak and she needs assistance so I helped her walk.
She was given injection and some list of drugs to buy which I bought while taking her back home, I couldn't go to my place that day so I spent the night at her place.

She woke up the following day feeling much better and strong. She's type of person that doesn't like using drugs but I force her to use the drugs since it's the only key for her to get better.

I decided to call mercy after 3 days of collecting her number.

I mentioned Sade closer and then I began the make up.
Nkechi was the first to come, then followed by a lady with only bra and wrapper. Before I knew it, they've all gather to watch me as I do the make up.
They kept sounding like police siren behind me and when I finished up the make up, they all rush at me begging me to help Make up their face.
That wasn't in the agreement so I didn't answer them.
They called on the bride's mother, then she made another agreement with me, after the agreement, I set my tools down then I begin work on their face.

They exhaust me, cos they were totally annoying they kept requesting for the same make up I did for the bride which is not possible. They've forgotten that the bride have to be outstanding.
I finished up their make up then I head out to receive fresh air.
I was given a plate of jollof rice but I resquted for one more plate.
A plate of jollof rice can't cure my hunger, but two will do.
I was on the second plate when nkechi came to me. She knelt down on her knees and I knew she want something.

" call shade to help you make up your face, I'm tired " I muttered to her. She seems surprised by what I said and she might even think that I'm a wizard.

"Emm... I've went to her, she's also tired. She ask me to come to you " she said like a little child. Well doing make up for her wasn't part of the deal, but since she came to me assertively. I decided to do it for her.
I spent extra time on her face and when I finished up the make up, she was looking elegant, I even got myself wowed with her beauty.

I couldn't attend the engagement, that's why I have Sade, she went with the bride and to also ensure that nothing happens to the bride make.
I was alone at home with some few people, most of them are men and they seems not to care about each other.

Just as I finished having my bath, I was searching for the clothe to wear, when I saw the cobra snake moving in to the room which I am.
I acted as if I didn't see the snake as I continue searching for the clothe to wear. My body towel was on the bed while I was searching my bag for clothe to wear on the floor.
After I've gotten the clothe, I raised my head up only to see the cobra sleeping on my towel.

"Aye MI!!! Na me go kill you las last " I muttered as head out of the room angrily.
I saw a cutlass in the garden, so I picked it up and head back inside to meet the snake.

"ogun kill you today " I said just as I enter the room. The snake was still lying on my towel and that annoyed me the more. Out of anger I pull out my towel which came as a surprise to the snake. The snake raise it head up to see what's happening and without evening thinking, I aim straight for the snake head, and the cutlass did an excellent job by cutting it head away.

" extend my regards to Lucifer " I spatted.

After killing the snake, I began wondering what to do with it. At first I was scared since they told me that it's a taboo to kill the snake, but where I came from, we can kill any fucking snake.
Since nothing happen to me after killing the snake I decided it will be foolish of me to trow away the snake. So I planned to eat it, but getting it done for consumption seems to be a difficult task. But I'll have to risk it.

I have an hour before the arrival of everyone so I planned to cook the snake within the given time.
I quickly head to the kitchen to boil a water. After the water is boiled, I deep the snake into the water then peel off the outer skin. I biset it into two, then after I've removed the unwanted, I cut it into pieces then I set it on fire.
By the time the snake was done cooking, I still have extra time so I vote for frying. I fried the snake meat then I pack it Into a nylon bag. The snake was a big one so the meat was much.

" ma je para mi loni ( I will eat like mad today) " I muttered in Yoruba to myself. Just as I was about to leave the kitchen, I came in contact with nkechi and my heart almost pop out of it shield.

"Hi what are you doing in the kitchen? " she asked looking directly at the nylon bag that I'm holding.

" Yea... I'm...just here to drink water " I replied.

"something smell nice, what's in the nylon bag " she asked pointing at the nylon bag.

"oh you mean this " I said raising up the nylon. "this is... a sacrificial amala and pupuru imported from ekiti land and Ondo town respectively. don't stress yourself, you can't understand only we the Yoruba can. So just forget it " I said in a cover up. She was perplexed at first, then she smiled. So I guessed it worked.

"are the others back? " I asked.

" not really, but they will soon be back " she replied.

"very well then " I said then I made to move.

"emmm... Ay thanks for the Make up...and if you need anything, just let me know " she said.

"Yea thank you " I said then I quickly move to the room given for me to stay.
I remembered I bought a bread in the morning, so I helped myself with bread and snake meat. Yea... It was delicious.
I could only eat few out of the meat before everyone arrived, so I postponed the eating. I thought of telling Sade about what I did but she seems to be busy talking with the ladies.
Nkechi kept smiling at me whenever she see me and I also return the smile, I'm the only one that understand what I did.

Tomorrow happens to be the wedding day, and it arrived sooner than I expected. I couldn't return to my snake meat due to some exploring I had with their parroted gate man. So I came back late and I slept late.

On the wedding day, after the bride has put on her wedding gown, I came in to do the bridal make up.

I was almost done with the make up when the bride received a call, I wasn't really listening to her conversation but I noticed that her smiling face suddenly changed.
I knew something was wrong, but I kept doing my job. When she was done calling, I saw her pressing her phone and the next thing I heard was a female sex tune.

"is the bride watching porn?" I thought out loudly but the look on her face doesn't seems like she's enjoying what she's seeing.
I knew there is a problem when I saw tears rolling down her eyes.

" you gonna spoil the make up, why are you crying ?" I questioned blindly.

" I'm not going to that wedding! Everything ends here!! It's all over!!! " she screamed out with tears which attracted the attention of everyone present in the room. Her phone fell down, so I quickly pick it up to know why she suddenly change her mind.
On picking the phone, I saw a sex video of the groom with another lady.

" holy shit! What the Bleep? " I muttered voicelessly to the air.
While I was still watching the video, the bride ran out of the room and no one could catch up with her.
Nkechi came to me asking for what happened, I gave her the phone and she also saw the video.

"oh my God " she muttered as she ran out of the room.
Within a seconds everywhere turned to something else. The bride was no where to be found, we asked the gate man if he saw her going out, but he said the opposite.
We searched the whole compound for her but we didn't see her.

We all sat down in the living room trying her phone but she has already switch it off.
We wondered where she could be since they've ransacked every spot and room in the building, but she's still not found.

We can't find the bride....

Half an hour after the disappearance of the bride, I went to the bride's room to pack my make up tools then I head to the room given to me with the aim of arranging my stuffs since everything has turn bad.

Just as I entered my room, I saw the bride sitting on the bed crying. It was like a magic to me then I remembered that my room was the only room they didn't check and that's because of privacy, no one could have imagine that the bride will be there.
She wasn't surprise to see me, but I was to see her.

" don't tell anyone that I'm here, I just want to be alone " she said as more tears flow down her eyes.

At first I was confused on what to do, I thought of going back outside, but it doesn't feels right.
All she needs is someone to talk to, I reasoned that I can save a marriage, but I didn't know if I have the strength to proceed.
I stood there battling with my thought when I heard her saying something.

" I trusted him, I gave him all my heart, I love him completely... He just trashed everything away " she said slowly.

I sat down on the bed beside her but not too close to her then I told a story.

" The most beautiful thing in this world is getting married to someone you love.
I wrote a poem some months ago, I was never in the shoe, but it came to me.

That was just a poem that have nothing to do with you, but some lines speaks of you.
A woman came to me one day, she will be in her late 40s. You seems to have a similar issues, when she was in her 20s, she was to be married to someone who betrayed her trust on her wedding day. So she called off the marriage.
Trust they say is like sheet of paper, when squeeze, is when lost, no matter how hard will try to straight it up, it will never be thesame. That quote has been years before I was born.
But that was a bad illustration of trust. sometimes people got misleded by what we lived to see and hear. Our life ain't meant to be guided by a quote from someone. It's just like a car with a driving manual. The driving manual won't drive the car, but we ourself will. Our life is in our hands. We design how we want to live it by ourselves. We have the right to make both the right and the wrong choice.
When are making the right choice, we know. And when we are also making the wrong choice. We certainly know.
The woman knows that leaving the marriage was a wrong choice, but just because of the trust illustration she had. She choose the wrong choice.
Environmental determinism says the environment determines the way of life of human being, but when the possibilist came, they said man has the right to choose in the given environment, which means if an environment is not good for him, he have the right to adjust.
It was after she walk away from the marriage that she discovered that she have the power to build up another trust. When a trust is lost to someone, the real problem becomes you. You will say I can't trust him again, then you are having a trust problem cos that person might still trust you, and that person might turn a new leaf. You'll be left with the problem, the question will be for how long?
Sometimes we need to give it one more thought, decisions made out of anger are always not right. If you are letting him go, think of when you've started. Ask yourself the question, does it worth it?
We all have the heart to forgive, Paul was once a slayer.
It was late before the woman realized her mistake. Do not make thesame mistake she made, you can still make things right. The decision you make right now will determine the rest of your life. "

And when I ended my speech, she hugged me.

"thank you so much...this really mean alot to me, can I tell you a secret ." she asked.

" sure you can" I replied.

" I really love him, and I want to get married to him. " she let out with a smile.

" Wao... Can you also keep a secret, I have something to tell you " I said in a whisper.

" what is it? That you like my sister nkechi, probably you guys have... You know Bleep each other... "

" hell No! That's not it " I cut in.

"so what's it, cos she already told me that she love you, and I can see it in her eyes " she said with another smile.

"emmm... That's not it. Emmm... You know that snake. I killed it " I let out slowly.

" oh really? That's awesome, I never like the snake " she said and that came as a total surprise to me.

" Incredible. I even cook the meat, and I also fried it... "

The door opened and the ladies came in while nkechi leads the way.

" of cos I know, and I covered for you. So you think I don't know the meaning of pupuru and amala " that came from nkechi. And that got me surprised again.

" have you guys been listening to us ?" I asked and they all laughed in response.

"well this is call for celebration, I have fried snake meat, who cares for one " I haven't finish it when they rush at me for it.
We were all eating the meat with a bottle of champagne when the bride mother came in with some people.

"it's so good to see the bride smiling again,but what are you guys doing, the groom is waiting at the church " that came from the bride mother.

We all paused and look at each other for a while, then we are screamed together.

"we are coming!!! "

" iyawo, your make up is messed. I'll will have to do another make up for you. But this one will gonna look more great on you " I said then I quickly begin the beautifying.

The wedding went beautifully, the groom came to the bride and apologize for what he did. The bride accepted his apology and everything went well.

Nkechi was expecting me to make the move, she was expecting me to do talking just as a normal guy should, she believed that with the way she's showing me green light that I will approach her and talk to her about love. She didn't know that I'm oko Adesewa, I'm done talking that shit to ladies.
Well if the mountain can't go to Mohamed, Mohamed will definitely go to the mountain.
A day before our departure, she came to me and said some things. After she was done, I decided to reply her.

"we can be best of friends, but speaking about more than friends. I don't think that will work cos you definitely know nothing about me " I said to her.

" Yea, I definitely don't know anything about you but I do know something about you. You are kind, you are generous, you are lovely and you are such a gentleman. I don't care if you reject me now or worst but you will always be a guy I fell in love with. I don't mind crossing the bridges just to be with you, the distance won't change anything. I'll still love you " she said. I searched for words to reply her but non came to me, so I left her without saying a word.

I returned back to akungba the following day with Sade.
Sade decided to wait and spend some days with me before going back to Akure, just to catch some little fun.

We were gisting together in my room one evening about the wedding party when a call from mercy came in. I ignored the call and that attract the attention of Sade.

" why ain't you picking the call " she asked.

" don't mind that girl jare " I replied with a wave.

"Hmmm... After you Don Bleep her, she's now looking like a shit to you Abi " she said inquisitively.

" No I didn't Bleep her, the girl just made a fool of me because I like her " I mumbled.

"Ehen? Tell me more Abeg. Give me details " she said showing more interest.

Let me quickly introduce you more to Sade. Sade happens to be a lady that enjoy doing crazy things, she's good at handling any kind of nasty situation, she can act and pretend as whoever you want her to be. And there's no one too big for her to insult, she always have the ready answer for whoever deserve it.

" she played me with her boyfriend like a fool, she let me do some works for her while her boyfriend was chilling around with some absurd stuff. And the idiot even embarrassed me with some irrelevant talks by saying I should wear his used trouser because they are original and the one I'm buying are all fake. Imagine that shit " I said and she smile in a mischievous way.

" should we deal with them? " she questioned. I didn't have it in mind to deal with them. So I replied saying no.

" well if you say so, no problem then. But let go club na please " she pleaded .

" my exam is coming, I'm not suppose to be clubbing " I defended, but she seems determined. After alot of begging I decided to let her have it.
We changed our clothes then we head out to drink some alcohol at a popular pepper soup joint.

Sade and I were busy gisting with a plate of pepper soup when Rose suddenly appear from nowhere. Her face were burning like that of an alpha wolf.

"Ay so this is the slot you are now fucking Abi!!! " she shouted and that attract the attention of the people around us.

"Rose calm down, it's not what you are thinking " I said in a low voice but the fire burning inside her seems too hot to be extinguish.

" don't tell me to calm down, I will deal with this bitch and then..." out of anger she poured a plate of pepper soup on Sade.

"ha! You are finished "

I knew quite well that things won't go well since the sleeping dog has been woken.
Before Sade could retaliate, I quickly grab her and hold her down. She tried to free herself from my grab, but I held still, she's a known devil and I knew what she's capable of.
When she noticed that my grab was strong she bent her head low and bite two of my fingers.
That hurt really bad but I still held on to her, she was burning with anger and her pulse kept rising like a thunderstorm.

" Ay let me go, leave me alone. Just leave me alone " she said as she struggled to free herself.

" Sade please don't do it, I'll explain things to you. Please don't touch her, it will get back on me " I said as I hold still.

" okay okay, I've heard you, now leave me alone " she said swiftly.

" ha no I can't leave, I don't trust any word that comes out of your mouth right now " I said then I made to drag her out.
Everywhere as already turn to an abyss, Rose at the other hand kept ranting like a sokoto goat but two guys has already hold her down.
I was slowly dragging Sade out of the club house when she luckily free herself from my grab. And just like captain marvel, she fly with tremedious force at Rose, before I could reach her side, she has already broke Rose nose with a punch, which came bleeding like a tap. As if that was not enough she took a bottle and was about to break it on rose head when I grab her hand.
This time around I didn't drag her, I carried her off her feet. I should have think of that earlier.
Despite the fact that I'm carrying her, she was still struggling to get freed, but I won't let that happened.
How we got home that day was unexplainable. I had to lock the door behind the two of us just to prevent her from going back to the club.

She was restless as she kept moving around the room.

"Ay why na, why you do me like this na. See wetin that girl do me na, see all my body with pepper soup, why you no allow me deal with her na " she let out with anger.

" Sade I'm sorry just calm down first " I said calmly.

" don't tell me to calm down. You Bleep up jor, imagine that kind of shit na " she retorted.

No matter how I hate my enemy, receiving beating from sade is something I cannot let to happen. Cos she's black belt.
I heard to lie to save Rose ass from trouble.

" OK Sade I've heard you, but I love her. Please don't be mean " I said then she look away.

"there's a virus file I will give you to send to her, once she open it all the file in her phone will be corrupt. Including the videos and the pictures, she will have to format her phone "she said.
I was happy when I heard that, I felt like hugging her but I knew better of the devil, she might reverse the beating back to me.

The second day, Sade share the virus file with me then I send it to rose with an apology text.
She received it but I'm not sure if she open the file, so i can't be so sure.
Rose texted me to come over to her place, at first I didn't want to inform Sade about it, but I later did.

"that's a good news if she invited you to come. I will just use the opportunity to give her some good beating " Sade said.

"No naa. Please Abeg no beat her " I pleaded.

"don't you know you need me, if she didn't open the virus file, then I will have to break her phone to settle everything " she said then I reasoned with her.

"okay... but how will you do that? " I asked confusedly.

"that one is simple, you will go in first then I will come in after about 10 minutes. Do not lock the door and Make sure that you put her phone in a place that i will see it, then leave the rest to me" she said then she wink at me.
I got no choice than to concur with her.

I got to Rose place and I met her with a plaster on the nose. I pitied her cos I knew another trouble is coming for her.

" hello Rose how are you? " I asked slowly as I close the door behind me.

"do I look like I'm fine, you see what that bitch did to me, I swear to God, if I see her again I will kill her " she let out angrily.
I saw her phone on the bed beside her, I picked it up and I saw an XOS wallpaper. She used her picture as her wallpaper before but seeing the XOS wallpaper only means one thing. Which is, the virus worked.

I texted Sade not to come but I knew she wouldn't listen, just as I was apologizing to Rose, Sade banged in forcefully.

"Eheenn. Owa da bayi! Ay so you lied to me and come right directly to this unhealthy Arachnid? Thunder fire the both of you today " Sade said then she pick up Rose phone and pieces it on the wall.
Rose shrink back as she hide behind me, I can see that she's afraid of Sade and basically I'm also afraid of her.
She brought out a Pepsi bottle from her bag and she was looking fierce with it.

"Sade please don't do this, drop the bottle, it dangerous " I pleaded.

" Ay please comot let me break this bottle on her head " she said.

"ha she will die, please don't kill her " I found myself begging her .

" see Rose Abi wetin dey call your name, if I see you with ay again, that will be your end. Understood? " she shouted and that caught me trembling.

"yes yes yes I've... Heard you " Rose said in a trembling voice.

" Oya Ay let go home " Sade said then she drag me away from the room.

Immediately that we are a miles away from Rose house, I paused then I looked at Sade in the eyes.

"would you have hit the bottle on her head? " I threw out.

"of cos na. Me I be Lagos girl, I no send any body " she replied.

"but that will be cruel " I let out slowly.

" see this mumu ooo, don't you know that it's an away match, I need to prepare myself very well for any kind of action. Thank God she corporate, if not, trust me na ay, I go break the bottle on your own head then use the broken bottle to design her body " she said and then she bounce away.

I thought for a while, how do I get along with her?

We returned back home to take a nap when I received a call from an unknown number.

Me : hello who am I on to?.

Nkechi : it's me nkechi

Me : oh... How are you big head

Nkechi : I'm fine and you.

Me : I'm okay.

Nkechi : so you think that you can run away from me.

Me : that's funny, run away? Do you call returning back home as run away.

Nkechi : whatever. I know you will be wondering how I got your number like that.

Me: I don't know. You can get it anywhere.

Nkechi : Hmmmm. Anyway I got it from my mom.

Me: I thought as much, she's the only one that have it. How's Angelina.

Nkechi : she's great, she's having her honey moon.

Me : I miss eating the snake meat with you girls.

Me :Why are we still alive if it a taboo. We supposed to be dead now or be seeing the ghost of a snake around. Why ain't we experiencing anything evil.

Nkechi : I don't know ooo.

Me : let me tell you something you don't know. I'm a science student so I don't believe in superstition. I'm a Nigerian so I believe in superstition. The saying that killing and eating some species of snake is a taboo doesn't really goes well with me. Yes is a taboo but history are made by those who broke the rules. The saying that it a taboo is a planted fear engulfed in everyone of you. That snake i killed wasn't a taboo, it's a pet. And I know one when I see it.

Nkechi : and you killed it without any fear. You are brave ooo.

Me : it's not about being brave. Everything is experience. ..

Nkechi :oh really?

Me : Yea... Except for the big anaconda that I'm yet to see in my life, every snake that came in my way usually don't survive it. Except for one.

Nkechi :which is?

Me : the two headed snake.

Nkechi : two headed snake? I've never heard of that before.

Me : it's a rare species, I saw it only once, it doesn't have a tail. It got two heads, insted of having a tail it got another head.

Nkechi : Wao that's terrible.

Me : it's terrible cos I was scared. It's something I've never see before.

Nkechi : so the snake got away?

Me: not without a chase.

Nkechi : you mean you still attack the snake?

Me :yes...it was my past that attacked it. Before I was born, my parents abducted a girl. Two years after the abduction, I was born. We were playing together in the compound when a snake entered and bite her. There was no one at home and she died before my parents return back from work. It a childhood memory that will hurt forever as long as there's still snake in this world. So no one can tell me a snake is a taboo. I don't buy that shit.

Nkechi : so that's the reason why you killed our snake.

Me : maybe but not really, I killed your snake because it trespassed. And besides this taboo of a thing makes me laugh.

Nkechi : why did you say so?

Me : there's a village in Ondo state that they don't eat okete (rodent )

Nkechi : so what's with okete?

Me: I followed some of my friends studying wild life in federal university of technology Akure to a field trip to a village in Ondo state. On our arrival we met with the rulers and they gave us some rules to abide, which includes not killing this okete (rodent). We agreed then we went to our camp.
The annoying part was when we saw this okete rodent moving around peacefully like a house fowl. And from where I came from, we don't see okete at the broad daylight, they will say it a taboo or something. But these okete broke their own rules just because they are free and no one is killing them. They were moving around freely and no one dare touch them due to the fact that they tagged them taboo.
There's an igbo boy among us, his name is okeke. He got so angry with this rodent that he accidentally trow a stone at one of this rodent which fell dead. We all stop dead on our spot as we look at okeke. We observed him for a while and since nothing bad happened to him. We decided to go for okete hunt.
That day we killed up to 30 rodent, we cooked it, we fry some we even smoke Part of it. After we are done preparing the meat for our taste. The problem of who to eat first later became an issue. We were all scared of eating the meat but after a while we decided to fast and pray from 6 to 6. Then we use the okete meat to break the fast. Bleep taboo.

Nkechi : like seriously?

Me : Yea, see if your dad buy another snake. Kill it!

Nkechi : no I'm not you, I can't kill a snake.

Me : well anyway it your choice.

Nkechi : Ay what can I do to win you.

Me: nothing.

Nkechi : Hmmn please na. I love you for real.

Me: let put love aside for now.

Nkechi : Hmmm can I come visit you?

Me : my exam is close. Maybe some other time.

All the while I was on call, Sade was in the bathroom showering. Just as I ended the call, she came out with towel tied on. I was still planning to excuse her when she suddenly drop her towel down.

"what the Bleep? Big head you could have tell me to excuse you before dropping those OMG" I screamed out.

" wetin dey do you? I resemble those girls wey dey trip for you ni. Ogbeni close your eyes I wan change pant " she said then she bend low to search for something in her bag.

" Lobatan of Mexico, where I find you self " I muttered as I turn my head away.

"Ehen, make I teach you new thing new self. You know how ladies wear menstrual pad? " she asked.

" what? " I spatted .

"turn around, let me teach you. It's very simple, you will just place the pad on the down part of the pant then you'll wear it up with the pant. It's very... "

" let go visit one of your girlfriend na" she said after she was done wearing her clothes.

"let go visit Ruth then, it been a while I saw her " I muttered in response.

" hope she will cook for us sha cos amala dey hungry me..."

"Yea she will, go get your bag and let's go " I cut in.

We went to Ruth place and she welcomed us warmly. We stayed at her place till 5 pm in the evening before returning back to my place.
