I once did this ignorant thing one night when me and my friend were going to Peckham from Manchester for the first Mohit show in UK years back.

When we couldn’t find our way to Peckham at night, we decided to park, turn on car heater with car running and slept off. Good thing we were in a very ventilated area. Na so man for die?

probably, the recirculation wasn't on. So the fume within the oven was getting back into the car from the vents. Have you ever been wound up in an air conditioned car and passed a refuse dump or area they are burning stuff and still perceived it despite the glass wound up? That's what happened.

ok. when u wound up d glass of a car, very small/light outside smoke or smell will still find its way into the car through the engine especially when you are static at same position.

he can die if the "car vent control" is not set to circulate the air within the car...he probably left it and the air outside still found its way into the car

The petrochemicals used in painting are toxic and also kills.
The car was in the oven, meaning fresh paint being backed in an enclosed environment, the paint has filled the chamber and no matter how sealed the car windows are the paint-filled air would definitely penetrate into the car. Also, the buildup of unescaped CO2 will enter to make sure the asphyxiation job on the poor guy is complete.
Death by asphyxiation from accumulated petrochemicals and CO2
