It bothered her. I am pretty sure it did. If a woman decides to live a different life, everyone will bother her. I am sure she had many moments of doubt with people coming right, left and center at her implying she isn't complete without a man and won't get happy. She triumphs now. She is successful and enjoys it. At her age she knows how many people who followed the norm ended up in miserable unions instead to listening to their individual calling in life, which is different for everyone or settled for someone they were not convinced of because they were afraid to miss the train before menopause.

I am very happy she shared it. It should encourage young women to follow their calling instead of trying to fit in in order to have regrets. Nobody wins in this situation. Husbands will later open threads on NL telling us what a witch their wife is.
