I have been billed #1.5m February this year travelling with my cousin on Ore express. the casual way the men asked for the money because they saw foreign currency in my bag was so funny to me, I burst out laughing.

they became so infuriated with my laughter that they started to threaten my cousin with a gun because he was the man or something.

Possibly, And NO! i don't have a banking app It's a big Risk Having that on a phone in Nigeria. i don't even use smart phones when ever i am in Nigeria, I don't travel by land especially from lagos, i carry less than 200k cash on me, And i use Nokia 3310 1999 model As long as it can make calls, i am fine. The way i iook, i don't take chances with them criminals.

Get a lawyer or human right officer to write to the CP and the bank.

The owner of the account should be arrested on sight, he will vomit his share and mention his accomplices.

When cornered in the middle of no where by an armed group with the threat to kill you and nobody will know, what will you do?

If and when you or your family member gets kidnapped, feel free to question the rationale for paying ransom.

This was kidnapping by uniformed personnel. Interstate road travel in Nigeria as a returnee is a no no. There had been a video circulating online since October warning returnees about SARS around Benin axis. I guess this victim chose to ignore the warning.

Go to Nigeria if it is very necessary. Otherwise, no sane being should pack up and fly into the jungle.
