It’s actually a harmless non venomous snake that feeds on rodents, roads and frogs but unfortunately for it, it was hatched/born in Nigeria where all snakes/reptiles are perceived as venomous.

That's a boomslang and its highly venomous, fast and can strike with a ferocious accuracy.

We had losts of them around our house in the village because of the too many bushes planted with tropical plants that attracts both man and the wild.
At a point they got a fair share of mankind's propensity to destroy what they don't understand because we chase them until they get tired out. We only did it because my ancient family have an antidote for dangerous venomous snakes and we know about it and how to use it.
Above all it's a very dangerous snake.

If your compound is susceptible to snake invasion, pls plant bitter kola trees or always keep one in your pocket. If you wish to chasr them away from your area, dry bitter kola and and burn it

That snake is edible nah, op. You don waste meat. We call it 'uwa' in my dialect (Igede). That reptile is almost completely harmless. A bite would just give you headache, and that's all, but it hardly bites. It loves basking in the sun. Just like most snakes, it loves feeding on mice

Snakes should be relocated by animal specialists to prevent killing them which actually drives up snake attacks on people.
