Yeah i heard recently that guys would give their arms more for respect
because love comes second,
i want to know if this is true,

Love and mutual respect always works for most guys (at least i hope so!)

Gamine, I think the Bible passage is coming from the angle that most times the love came from the women and the passage's just trying to exhort men to love their wives. . .
The respect thingy was a big issue in Biblical times, cos men were clearly defined as the head of the family, so respect from wife and kids was a must at that time.

u can respect someone and not love them, but it is pretty hard to say u love some one and yet u can't bring yourself to respect them.
