He is not doing it because he wants to. It is because he has no choice. Lagos is overwhelmed. Same thing with Lagos banning bikes and trikes on specific routes. Real reasons are because the state is witnessing an unprecedented number of migrants from Chad, Niger, etc. coming for Okada business. But will LASG come out and tell you this? Same thing southwest is doing with Ametokun. They have no choice! Tetehjewels: 7 Likes 1 Share |

Tetehjewels: Stop falling for audio propaganda. How many vessels in the eastern ports since 2015 for you to talk about "coming alive"? 5%, 25% 55% or 80% of total vessels coming to Nigeria? www.nairaland.com/attachments/4024299_bubu6_jpeg86aaf8fa6cd32a5104ab6bf996dd1ee3 www.nairaland.com/attachments/3356469_screenshot20160131120000_jpeg639beaec46d4ced684f639998a489af2 2 Likes 1 Share |

FlexTrex: He is not doing it because he wants to? Do you realize that long before this order was made those Eastern ports were being prepared for this? No order will just be made for vessels to re-route to the Eastern ports without adequate facilities or depth of water to receive them. He wanted to do this so PLANNED for it. 11 Likes 1 Share |

solmusdesigns: Wetin concern ibos here , don't u know the difference between Niger Delta and SE ? Or u think the Lagos importer that directed his goods to Lagos terminal don't have sense ? Do u know he is going to move the containers back to Lagos again ? If Onee was his best option he would have chosed Port Harcourt from country of departure The importers in East do choose port in the first place , so this is Lagos consignment going down to Niger Delta only to move back to Lagos again. Niger Delta government will gain it not SE !! 8 Likes 1 Share |

klax: Per Original Geo location of those ports they are refered to as EASTERN PORTS because not all states should own ports otherwise vessels would be made to look stupid. You can only have ports stationed in locations that are close enough to the consumer states. The Eastern ports service the Eastern corridor and Niger Delta to a large extent. Shorter travel and cheaper discharge 3 Likes 1 Share |
