I think the ban is on the use of bike or Keke as means of transportation for commercial purposes and not to be impounded at sight except he encounters criminal-minded policemen such as those bastards that broke into a shop to steal bikes in the name of enforcement. [quote author=Roon9 post=86400119]Banning okada was very okay but Keke could have been restricted.
However the deed has been done. Life must go on. People should just comply or they'd just be "happy targets" for these trigger happy policemen.

call for our 380wh lithium-ion generator that could power your TV, laptop, and up to 4 lighting points for up to 10 hours daily.[/quot

how does the lithium-ion generator works

It won't be easy Oga, some people have invested money in keke for higher purchase, some depends on this for house rent, NEPA bill, children school fees and you're talking about life going on as if nothing happened just because it doesn't affect you personally?

Funny.
Life will be hell for some people, it will affect a lot of business, vulcanizer, spare parts dealers, food sellers, iya kamoru that sells dry gin cheesy, sisi kemi that runs a small beer parlour you just name it.

It won't be easy, the rate of unemployment is high already.

Naija police and gragra sef!
Must they go into people's shops and compounds to confiscate Okada and Keke? The law didn't ban the sale of motorcycles or trikes. As long as they are not being ridden along the stipulated ways or roads, the police has no right to confiscate them.

Well I forgot, this is Nigeria undecided

The level of compliance by bikes and Keke is almost 100% so nobody to arrest or make quick cash hence going after shops which is quite unfortunate.

If then take away your livelihood, then go back to your state now. Na by force to be in Lagos. You live your far away Kastina and say na Okada u wan dey do for Lagos . The owner of the state says, him no want u again. Then pack your load and go.

Please go back to your state of origin and tell that to your clueless governor. Na by force to stay Lagos. Very soon the jihadist go disguise as bike rider enter Lagos and start killing and bombing places, then you will open ur dirty mouth and says the governor is not working. All reason before you talk or type.

Only in Nigeria police men will openly steal people's properties and call it "law enforcement"

Imagine going to meet an Okada dealer to collect motorbikes... In a local government area that's not even listed in the ban.

Sometimes naija policemen deserve resetting...

Re: Iyana Ipaja: Okada Riders Clash With Police Over Ban In Lagos by Xclusiveme: 6:19pm On Feb 05, 2020
Not too long ago, metropolitan cities in Anambra got rid of Bikes and the government rewarded lotta people with tricycle. That's an alternative proposition.

Lagos Government should have banned one at a time. Development is a gradual process, lagos are trying to make it a fast one. So sorry for the Lagosians. All you have to do is gosh!!! There's nothing to do. Where will they start from? majority of them didn't go to school. Nigeria!!!!

This event are not totally linked with okada ban...task force has been terrorising that area far before the ban, they even go inside streets to seize bikes demanding for as high as 40k per bike.. that's even if they ve not sold it out and tell you they have crushed it...those guys should ve protested b4 naw...think it's time task force excesses are checked!!!
