Obviously, if you want to commit crime, murder, maim, destroy innocent people and get away with it, then be a boko Haram.
This is unfortunate! Repentent torrorists?
Would the people they killed repent from.their graves back to life?
I now understand there is more to BH

If world bodies such as Human Rights and UN mean anything then it is simply not up to the whim of Nigeria leaders to just release mass murderers into society let alone into the same society where the relatives of the victims still live.

If concerned Nigerians stop playing politics with this very important issue and challenge the government using judicial means something could be done to to reverse this policy.

All these talk of war and breakup are just so many sentimental rubbish.

Do You see how stupid these people are. When we say that the government of APC of Fulanis are behind this terrorist? They think we are hateful.

I do not pity the North at all. Go and find out this, you can never go to any cell in Nigeria and see a Fulani man their even if he commits murder.

These people will use their hands and destroy the North and Nigeria. The lord is fighting the battle for us but people don't see it that way.

By the time this people are done with the north, we will realize that God has used the Bokoharam to fight our war for us.

Do you see how the Arabs destroyed their cities, during the Arab spring? Almost all the Arab countries we're killing themselves from Egypt to Syria, Yemen Tunisia and many more of them destroyed their Cities and killed the own people while Israel was peace in their country. that was God fighting their battle

Do not cry for the North. The North is gone. The caliphate of Boko haram will overrun them soon.

Why the south will eventually emerge as a new nation without a war. Do not be afraid. Most of their politicians don't step into their villages until drill election year.

They cannot visit their people. The north is gone!

Yes I agreed with you, but it would have been better if the government is using only northern soldiers to fight this dreaded group not our own people.

This is act is unconstitutional and legislators should challenge him. But it's a pity Nigerian system is already defunct.
Re: 1,400 Repentant Boko Haram Suspects Released by Litmus: 1:28pm On Feb 11, 2020
Another way of looking at it is this: Buhari` s Nigeria and the Nigeria military would not release mass mudering terrorists into the population of their victim if the West did not sanction it. In another words, blame Trump, United Nations and Human rights organisations, they are the parties advising this policy and the ones that recommended it to Nigeria.

Nigeria is not a powerful country, ask yourself why have you not read Wole Soyinka condeming the policy, he comments on everything? where is Obasanjo`s voice? What of CNN or Al-Jazeera that only a few years ago dedicated majority of thire Nigeria coverage on Nigeria army supposed humanrights violations against bokoharam ? It got so bad, Nigeria invited Human Rights to Nigeria and gave them full rights. Where have all these voices gone?

They are silent because Nigeria is doing what was advised by the West.

shocked This government is so callous & insensitive. So despite the pleas of the poor widows of troops lost to this war, the Nigerian Military & government are still recycling these BH terrorists?

Do you know how many people these killers have send to the other side of life that this evil, wicked & satanic Buhari-led APC regime is releasing them? May it never be well with anyone associated with this government including all the zombies.
SOMETIMES I THINK BOKOHARAM IS SOMEHOW SYMPATHISING WITH IPOB

THE NORTHERN MILITARY ARE LAYING SIEGE IN ABIA TO SHOOT AT SIGHT ANY IPOB MEMBER...WHILE BOKOHARAM ARE LAYING SEIGE IN THE NORTH KILLING BOTH THE ARMY AND THEIR FAMILY

This is one the weird things that happen in this country which makes me very sad,I keep wondering what the real government priorities are with regards to this insurgency.
How can you be realising deadly terrorists back to the society in the name rehabilitation? This is something USA and co that have been fighting terrorists for years have never ever contemplated, yet here we are deceiving our selves. Please the government should also rehabilitate all the armed robbers,Yahoo boys, kidnappers, ritualists and every other persons sentenced to prison for one crime or the other.
you are a Darling for this comment of yours. Thanks. The govt of buhari is a failure in every ratification

This is why Nigeria will not have peace.
U release group of terrorist that have killed not less than 10,000 innocent citizens since 2015 till dste ; both ur military personnel.
Nigeria govt is a terrorist itself and u want US to lift the Ban.

Anyday that Britain will have an Emergency meeting regarding to Nigeria insecurity and unity , thats is when terrorism will stop.

From the misleading headline to the mischievous commentators here , you will understand that Nigeria is under fake news attack..
This is body of the news that explains the nature of people released..

Jato said most of the persons released were not actually Boko Haram members but were relatives of terrorists or persons found in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The commissioner said, “There have been a series of releases. They were released in three tranches. The first set was released during Governor Shettima’s time while two sets have been released under Prof. Zulum.

“The total number of persons released is 1,400. Out of the 1,400, the majority of them are cleared suspects. These were people who were suspected of being members of Boko Haram and it was discovered that they were not.

“The rest are children of Boko Haram or actual Boko Haram members. I cannot give you a breakdown of the figure now for security reasons.”

The government’s spokesman said he was aware of allegations that some of those released had gone back to terrorism but argued that most of these allegations were mere speculations.

Jato said after the training, they were handed over to the Borno State Government for proper integration into their communities.

He stated that if any person was rejected by his community for being a former Boko Haram member, the government would resettle that person.

When asked if there were recorded cases of someone going back to join Boko Haram, he said, “I have not heard of that but we have had cases whereby people in the community rejected them. So, they return to the rehab centres and we change their location.”
