When a nonentity has an opinion. So Peter obi should not attend the burial of a community chief who did no wrong? You dey craze for head. |

If not that igbos on nairaland mumu and are too emotional, why would they dignify a nonentity with a response? The guy is salivating at every post. 1 Like |

blasted12:Guy Igbo have left Nigeria, they are the only smart ethnic group that know Nigeria is a failed state already. Nigeria can only get worst from now onwards and Nigeria is sure to disintegrate without war. |

gidgiddy: Never say never. An Igboman can become the President of Nigeria but not in 2023. This was how some people were saying Blacks couldn't be president of the United States until Barack Obama came to power. |

allcomage: Funny how Igbos have ''left Nigeria'', yet are the most widely spread ethnic group across all states in Nigeria, including Lagos, Kano, Kaduna, Edo, Oyo, Osun etc. A people whose livelihoods depends on earning money in those places outside Igboland. You hate the people that are feeding you. Deluded man. Wait till you secede and see how quick the FG deport your asses back to the east as ILLEGAL ALIENS. Nnamdi Kanu will give you jobs from his London residence. Ewu. 2 Likes |

ashacot:You hit the nail on the head. Only that you’re wasting your time trying to reason with ndi IPOB. The truth remains that Peter Obi goofed big time. He should forget about his Presidential ambition if he is sincere and join IPOB in their quest for secession. But all I know is that his so called alignment with Biafra is fake, and only for personal gains. Let him leave the spotlight for other serious Igbo politicians. He has been so fake from day one. Most of the people you’re trying to reason with are IPOB members at day and PDP members at night. So take them serious at your own peril. These are same group that voted for Atiku and the same group fighting for PDP in Imo state. This the main reason I hardly visit the cyberspace because all I see are bunch of followers whose presence online reeks illiteracy. I only blame those who think IPOB represents the Igbos because of the loudness of some dumb few. 1 Like |

ashacot:Your rubbish has no part two. So because of political ambition, he should abandon his people? Brotherly, if building bridges meant hidding the fence, then that's imbecility. Obi did perfectly well to attend the burial. Did you know what Obi just did. He has gotten the heart of IPOB, any candidate he supports in coming elections in South East in the future... Has a 60% chances of winning 3 Likes |

obailala:This is why I say that the igbos still have huge lessons to learn in the game of politics. They play politics with emotions instead of high strategy game. They think politics is ludo instead of chess. If Obi still wants to play national politics, he should have avoided IPOB related activities. He could have supported them underground but not openly. IPOB has declared other tribes their arch enemy, especially the Yorubas and Hausa Fulanis. These are the same tribes you need to get any national elective position in Nigeria. How does Obi expect Yorubas and Hausa Fulanis to support his Vice presidential ambitions in 2023? Atiku has a high chance of clinching the president after Buhari's tenure expires, and he has already built a working relationship with Obi. I would wait to see if Atiku (a fulani man) would still present Obi as his Vice in the next elections. Remember Obi was given to Atiku by a Yoruba man - Obasanjo. It would have made sense if ipob was already a political force in the south east, and their support in essential for wining elections, but IPOB has zero political value in the south east. |

Chigold101:The same political naivety. It's through political power he can help his people. So not attending a 1 day funeral is equivalent abandoning his people? How many politicians that IPOB has supported that has won any elections in the south east, not to talk of Peter obi. |

ashacot: But the distribution of Buhari's comment on the media about his desire for the total implementation of Sharia in Nigeria (this also happens to align with the vision of Boko Haram), did not stop him from winning presidency. Which is supposed to scandalize Nigerian voters more: Obi associating with the parents of the IPOB leader or Buhari agreeing with Boko Haram ideology? |

Bighead9: As if the country is one first-world that Igbos are dying to lead. Is the country moving forward? Is it respected even by our closest neighbours? Any Igbo man or even Southerner aspiring to contest for presidency should for the sole purpose of facilitating the restructuring or even dissolution of this trap hole. 1 Like |

CSTR2: Exactly. Igbos should learn to ignore all these Ipob and Igbo thread springing up since Friday. It's obvious that BMC have prepared lots of threads to demonize Nnamdi Kanu when the parents burial will turn bloody Unfortunately for BMC, the burial was peaceful and they started attacking anything Igbo, Ipob. I call on all Igbos to stop commenting on this thread and any thread about Igbos or Ipob. 1 Like |

ChristianNorth: I am happy that you are solidly behind Mr Peter Obi. I am also happy that Obi attended the burial NOT necessarily because I support IPOB but because Nigerians need freedom, including the freedom of ANY citizen to aspire to ANY office regardless of his ethnic or religious background. Actions like this will test and determine the extent to which we want to allow for that freedom. |

PicLtd: By 1979, just nine years after the civil war, Dr Alex Ekwueme and Hon Umu-Ezeoke became vice president and speaker of the House of Reps respectively. Ebitu Ukiwe becane Military V. President and many Igbo politicians became Senate President between 1999-2007. Igbo have fared well in the post civil politics of Nigeria except for the 2015-date when for the first time since 1960, the Igbo political establishment are in opposition to the Federal Government. |

Rubbish! It’s not as if you nasty bigots would be falling over yourselves to vote for him in 2023 if he decides to contest! The one he contested in 2019 without going to any ‘forbidden burial ceremony’, didn’t you declare Atiku guilty-by-association for picking a ‘nyamuree/okoro’ as his running mate? 1 Like |

One is associating with his people group r masturbating that he shouldn't v done that because of Nigerian politics. Just like Tinubu denying the killings in South west or the Yorubas denying the early killings in South west e.g the attacks o Olu Falae because of 2015. Igbos are pragmatic people. Your idea makes no sense I beg. 2 Likes |
