Cattle rearing is a private business. It makes no sense to put up a governmental programme just to support some cattle rearing vampires when it won't favour others.

The FG is quick to tag the whole thing herders-farmers crises when in fact herdsmen encroach, kill and maim. And we all know RUGA is an expansion move by the Fulanis.

Trespassing in saner climes is a grave offence. The coverage, immunity and power that has been granted to herdsmen since Buhari's ascension will see the Fulani objective take ten steps backward when he leaves office as other ethnic groups would use their people in government to fight for themselves.

RUGA is the solution

Since the return to democracy in 1999, Nigeria has been grappling with diverse security challenges, chief among them are insurgency, election violence, kidnapping and most recently, the herder-farmer conflicts among others. The north central states of Benue, Plateau and Nasarawa and other states have experienced conflicts that led to thousands of deaths and displacements as a result of clashes between pastoralists (herders) and local farmers in several communities. In January 2018 alone, Amnesty International reports indicate that 168 people were killed as a result of herdsmen-farmer clashes.1

Struggle over grazing land and scarce resources have over the years resulted in perennial and growing violent conflicts in terms of frequency, intensity and geographic scope. Underpinning the escalation in frequency of conflicts in Nigeria is a confluence of environmental and demographic forces, especially desertification caused by climate change and population explosion. Expectedly, with the depletion of arable land for subsistence farming largely as a result of increasing urbanisation and the adverse effect of climate change, especially along the Lake Chad basin, there is increased struggle between herdsmen and farmers – leading to violent confrontations and conflicts, deaths and forced displacement, as well as the destruction of agriculture and livestock.

I didn't justify what fulani herdsmen are doing. What I mean is that their way of survival is thru cattle rearing, due to urbanization and climate change push them deeper into the south. And the conspiracy is they came to take our lands. Fulani herdsmen don't care about lands...

I understand you clearly. But I think the opposition is also not doing enough in terms of visibility and public enlightenment

One of the things that won the 2015 election for APC was their dedication to enlightening the populace with information, good or propaganda. They were able to use their fifth columns at every turn.

The noises they generated was enough for America and Europe to be interested in Nigeria so much that they wanted Jonathan out by all means.

But this time around, the opposition do not have the wisdom to do just that.

Just musing, anyway
