Even voting sef.
The minimum requirement to vote should be set as well. We have millions of illiterates making the wrong choice for the country.

This bill is nonsense and makes no sense, The only clauses that should be required for political appointments are ability to read and write proficiently and be of voting age.
An individual who has completed secondary education and has taken WAEC NECO is all that is needed.

This new bill is discriminatory in it's premise, in an ideal world all Nigerians would have a BSc and MSc but that is blind idealism Nigeria is not a country known to operate the technical and vocational institutes systems as seem in Germany/France (two most dominant economies in EU)

How do you propose to instruct that an individual can vote but not be voted for as a consequence of not having any from of post secondary education and then to limit said to governor and president, should an individuals political ambition be limited but such.

This would not increase the quality of governance . At no point in the history of Nigeria has an individual with less than the equivalent of an MSc administered the affairs of Nigeria, we have over 400 National legislators lawyers bankers engineers doctors people of diverse qualifications but yet governance is poor, morality is low and the poverty is ever more entrenched.

Nice one! They should also add electoral colleges and delegates just as it is in certain advanced countries, so that states that contribute the most to the economy would have more say in determining who rules us, and not just states that contribute nothing to the economy but a wild population of miscreants and poverty! This will also make governors improve their IGR and reduce the culture of begging the FG to help states pay salaries. It will also go a long way in checking electoral thuggery and violence.

Rubbish. I was expecting to see minimum requirement university degree. To be a common cashier in a bank requires a higher level of education than to become president.

Diploma is not even acceptable.
For president, vice, governors, deputy and law makers should be minimum of first decree.
Don't forget that innoson is not a Graduate but professors of mechanical Engineering wouldn't mind being his employee, Coscharis group didn't finish primary school but professors of Business administration will be begging to be given a post in his conglomerate, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg all drop out of school. It is not about degree, far from it. Degree is almost a piece of paper if you can't find your inner strength
