if you enter a federal /state hospital and you are not a family member or close friend of someone who works there- na oyo
this is a small primer of what will happen if there is an italy style corona virus outbreak
no mind the useless doctors. they actually expect me not to believe her daughter and believe them abi

I said it! It was BP that killed the old woman.

Wait oo but why do I find that Nigerian man in that safety kit funny?. Even the environment looks like child's play with those wash buckets and desk in the premises of where a disease of such magnitude is being handled compared to the Chinese safety kits and the high tech fumigating machines and drones emitting sanitizers found in same disease control centers over there... Mtchew naija... We are never serious. That is why Jehovah gat our back on this one otherwise, with this child's play, God knows what would have become of Nigeria by now.

Thank you Lord.

thesame thing the daughter was saying. If not for the workers negligence which must have been caused by inadequate and upgraded facilities, and lack of expertise, those ailment mentioned above would not have killed the woman. The proof is why she had survived all this while in the uk but eventually died few days of arrival in a hospital in Nigeria.
Nigeria government is mad.

I've worked very closely with Nigerian doctors -in Nigeria. And apart from the absence of state of the art medical equipments in our facilities, the most of these doctors aren't as incompetent, as a lot of Nigerians portray them to be. If anything, using the little that is at our disposal, speaks volumes of our proficiency.

Did someone grease your palm?

Whatever the true story may be, this is a wake-up call for all states to urgently have isolation centres in place. Also, protective wears should be readily available. Remember that the healthcare workers have families and friends, and in any suspected case, people will first go for safety. However, having structures on ground will boost confidence of the workers.

This topic,if not any other thing, has shown us the state of Enugu isolation centre. That alone can discourage people to visit the center.

Okay. Let us reason together. Your story no add up.

She is 70, she just came back from UK (as old woman, the family can afford to take care of her, fly her out, spent 6 months only to come back and died).

Particularly, this statement ''had hypertension, sugar issues and kidney diseases which were poorly managed'' bla bla bla.

She survived all the 'Poorly managed' disease but died after visiting una hospital?

You guys are not dealing with morons I beg!

I concur with you, Nigeria Govt. General Hospital na no go area, speaking from personal experience...

It's not incompetence per se but unethical and downright immoral. Most will refuse to treat without payment, most will take shortcuts that could lead to serious injuries or death. This is why no matter the level of education and experience as a medical doctor in Nigeria, once you get abroad you still have to pass the board exam and some additional education/training before you are allowed to practice.
