Na so reported index case in Benue take deny her status. Till now, Benue still dey for 1 case for more than two weeks naw. NCDC and MOH should stop deceiving people. It is not a coincidence that few days after Obiano and wike demanded their share of covid-19 relief money, their states recorded 1 index cases each.

Not as bad as I thought. When the donations started pouring in, I was thinking of a situation where many false positives will arise...just to enable state governments have a piece of the pie. I still suspect those governors that claimed to be positive.

. As long as Yahaya Bello of Kogi State is Negative all these testing kits are Fake.. Ndiara

Why is it that enugu positive covid19 haven't increase from the 2 it was since March?

Why is this government like this?

Some things are very certain and undeniable in this Covid-19 politicization in Nigeria:

1. A lot of figures will get padded and edited by the leaders, probably to gain favors or whatever from the global community.

2. Isolation centers are merely white elephant projects in most states of the federation... They only look great and world standard on paper/television. The reality on ground is an abomination!!!

3. Attributing a lot of deaths from other ailments, even natural causes, to Covid-19 won't be beneath our state governors and national leaders. The reason for this will remain a mystery to us... Maybe to gain some form of international or global recognition.

4. A lot of states are engaging in lock downs without proper testing or isolation, and provision of palliatives. A lot of the governors don't even know why they are locking down their states, only that other states are doing it, and they don't want to be left out.

Things are not adding up
Why was he tested, was he showing symptoms
Why did it take 3days to produce a result
What is his travel history
Why haven't any other person been identified especially those who tended to him at the hospital

There's no test centre for Covid in Anambra. The samples are sent to Irrua in Edo State. It takes approximately three days for the result to be released

So, why is the man in denial

1.Having a positive diagnosis of COVID19 can lead to stigmatization.

2.It isn't easy to be in hospital, especially when you feel all right...

My friend your write-up didn't add up, read the message, the sample was taking from him where he was admitted in hospital in Anambra State and not Lagos, this man last travel to Lagos last December
ambu2:
The reason why this man might be in denial is that, first, he doesn't have the usual symptoms. However, many people including Gov. Makinde and Chioma Davido tasted positive without exhibiting symptoms but had to isolate.

Second, any attempt not to deny his travel history will come with far reaching consequences including extensive contact tracing. He will also be required to explain how he left Lagos and arrived Anambra State inspite of lockdown and the people he encountered from in Lagos, in vehicles, etc.

The man is trying to be clever by half to avoid imminent interrogation wahala.

You can still spread coronavirus even if you don't have symptoms. This isn't January when the thing was still fresh, it is spreading throughout the country even with those who haven't travelled out.

Good questions. If he is really positive, they should be busy tracing the contacts.

He was tested just like everyone in the hospital - the guy said so in his interview

Again, son people might not show any symptoms and will still be positive.
what prompted every one in that hospital to be tested

Truth is that the guy is negative. The hospital they claimed to admit the guy said they do not have any covid 19 patient
Two things involve.
1: The Adazi hospital no get testing kit to detect if he is positive or not
2: The man in question doesn't know the symptoms of coronavirus and why after coming bk from Lagos in December that his heart problem begins although info hv that he have a heart problem but that is not a criteria for him not to be negative as I dont pray for such.
Finally why are bloggers and journalist digging and exposing the identity of ds man? Why did dey want to mess his name up by playing dirty politics with it? He has bcom the only victim whose name hv bn made open for all to know dat he is positive unlike other patients diagnosed and treated with ds virus

Why is everything about Nigeria surrounded in confusion and wickedness. Why can't Anambra state make his result open since the man said he doesn't have Coro. Why will a whole Commissioner said he had the news from the Internet like others. PLS GOD IN HEAVEN ANYONE USING THIS SITUATION OF CORONAVIRUS TO ENRICH HIMSELF OR CAUSE CONFUSION IN THIS NATION NIGERIA WILL NOT SEE THE END OF OCTOBER THIS YEAR EXCEPT THE PERSON CONFESSES IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS..AMEN AND AMEN

Niggmatic:
I don't know what they are talking about, but all I knew was that ncdc confirmed a case in Anambra.and the state ministry of health know the person.

Judging from most comments made by people from that side, even if they start dying in their thousands they will still call Coronavirus a scam.

Nigerians need compulsory education irrespective of any ones age. The level of ignorance is heart breaking.

Nigerians live in a perpetual state of denial.

First they said coronavirus never existed

- Then they said it exists but can not be spread in Africa

- Then they said that coronavirus was not in Nigeria that the government is lying to get money

- Then they said coronavirus was in Nigeria but only foreigners have it.

- Then they said that Nigerians are dying of malaria and typhoid instead of coronavirus.

- Then they said Nigerians can get coronavirus but foreigners are the ones bringing it to Nigeria on purpose.

- Then they said 5G is the cause of coronavirus.

- Then they blamed the illuminati, the devil and spirits for spreading coronavirus.

- Then they blamed Bill Gates for creating coronavirus as a motive to distribute a vaccine that kills only Africans.

There is no level of stupidity too low for people to descend to.

Re: Coronavirus: Anambra Index Case, Marcel Eze, Claims He's Negative by honeyB2018: 4:40pm On Apr 13, 2020
A case of this nature happened in Benue State, that also was an index case. I don't know it was resolved.
When HIV was very rampant in Nigeria, this also happened. There were guys, who claimed to be negative, only to be positive on the second test.
Covid 19 positive is not a death sentence. By the way, of the money bags in Anambra, why should Chief M.Eze be used as a scam. Let him calm down, if he's a man of substance as his statement suggests, he should call for a second test to avoid all of these embarrassments.
Re: Coronavirus: Anambra Index Case, Marcel Eze, Claims He's Negative by honeyB2018: 4:49pm On Apr 13, 2020
Both those who know and claim to know him, including Mr Peter Obi, should advise him to be calm and cooperate with the government and medical team, so that the contact will not be hampered, should he at last be positive.
