The Federal Govt. keep saying "they will give the vulnerable/poorest money, now its not everybody that will get free electricity". The first 2 weeks has gone and now we are almost into the the second week of the lockdown, nothing has been done. SCAMMERS IN THE SEAT OF POWER.

This lockdown really exposed the wickedness in our politicians.
Yes it has exposed them that they are only after our votes. They do not have our love and interests at heart. I wish Nigeria will show apathy to election in 2023.

Does this make any sense? The answer is NO! When you shared money, people said, use BVN, then you said no because the poorest of the poor do not have bank accounts because they have no money. Now, give free electricity to all Nigerians, you said it's only for the poorest of the poor. So, now the poorest of the poor have money to bring in electricity in their homes and maintain it but do have a bank account that's free to open?

Kingspin:
We don't have a country
The politics to help Nigeria has always been back and front. Either corrupt, deceit and end up with embezzlement.

But remember this is a once in a lifetime scenario we are facing today.

And for the past 55years Nigeria have nothing to offer its citizens in this unfortunate situation.

MTN, Glo, and all those billionaire companies and individuals who have established and enriched themselves over the decades through the public now is the time to pay back.

How I will they pay?
Remember the 1 trillion naira that MTN was told to pay?
Didn't federal government later start playing politics with it?

I wish the citizens can drive these politicians away. They never have good thought for the masses.
How many of the poor and vulnerable they are referring to uses electricity?
I wish our votes count, and we can make it count. We need to ensure that none of these politicians or their associate who have ever held or come close to political offices should be voted for again
Re: Lockdown: Free Electricity Is Not For All Nigerians – FG by Nreebge: 6:57am On Apr 17, 2020
Must we set committee for every good of the common citizens of this country. How much is exactly the cost for two months electricity bill that this government can't give to the citizens.

I now know why we are still here and instead of been progressive administratively we are retrogressive. Covid-19 is not fatal here by now , our politicians is no longer afraid of anything. But God will surely see the common man through. It's well even now

This is the joke of the century. How can these animals be generous with something that does not exist? The people want a proportional managed stable electricity supply that they will be glad to pay for.

At the moment people are paying for the electricity they don't get, so they should focus on making the supply worthwhile rather than making it free that will make the whole situation worse.

They think with arses. Is it not when you support small businesses and middle class it trickles down? Who employs the poor? When you kill the middle to lower class you have killed the poor.
You guys still don't get the gist; to those criminals in government you have to be almajiri to warrant government assistance. How many farmers who's farms were destroyed by the terrorist fulani herdsmen were helped by the government? Not even one. Use your tongue to count your teeth.

Let them shove the electricity up their asses and get electrocuted.
They even want to set up a committee first. By the time they r thru with the plan, the virus would have been over.
This administration is cursed with ineptitude, wickedness, lack of wisdom and stupidity.
