If they keep killing them like this, our grandchildren will only know of these animals in story books

What do you mean? These animals have been hunted from the beginning of time. If anything at all, we don't hunt them as much as before because of increased reliance on animal farming.

It's called "Elede igan" in Yoruba dialect. The animal is so wild/dangerous... Sentiment apart, wild pig meat is a good delicacy. Contains a lot of Natural fat... And if you want us to have them in a zoo like the white people... Tell your people up there (Politicians) to alleviate poverty. grin

Oga hunting has been ongoing from time immemorial, yet you know the animals. The generations to come will know them too.

Poor animals.

Their mates in the developed world are strolling up and down where humans used to occupy, taunting and looking at the humans held up in their houses through their windows like animals in the zoo. But here in Nigeria, no respite for the poor animals.

It sure sucks to be a Nigerian even in the animal kingdom.

So sad.

Jokes aside, these guys are real professional hunters. See enough edible meat.

That whartog ehn, na very dangerous but very sweet animal with him deadly tusks.

On a serious note, stop blaming Nigerians as there is no Single Zoo to take care or accommodate these animals to make them better in their natural habitat.About 20 years ago,i was in Jos,Plateau- Zoo,but I doubt if those beautiful animals have increased because of Communal strive, especially after Military invasion and imposition of strange headship to run the affairs in different zones of the State.Come to Ibadan zoo and you will pity animals!. However, can men of goodwill take over the running of Zoos, in private Sector? This is where Foreign Exchange can be easily generated,as a tourist attractions.

Kai Africa. Animals have right to life. By standard, you and your friend should be charged to court for murder or xtinction of game.

Kill plus mama and pikin. You think animals regenerate from sand.

Soon enough, you over hunt and then find nothing to kill...then you kill yourselves and eat

Good harvest, at least the commercial hunters will use the proceeds to manage themselves and their families during this lockdown. But the warthogs (bush pigs) could be dangerous o going by my experience. They can kill hundred of dogs and even bring out their intestines. The daunting ones can give hunters a deadly chase.

Nigerians just love talking crap !

Complaining about hunters who are doing what there forefathers have done for millennia.

Meanwhile you rarely meet anyone who is a vegetarian.
If you are a meat eater and your criticising this thread your HYPOCRITICAL SELF DECEIVER

Kudos to the brace Hunters.
Come to think about it many a times when serious tracking is required by law enforcement it's these" Local Hunters" who will be at the forefront. I commot hat for them !
