Update from my school. I believe most school will definitely choose blended learning approach for the first semester, this will not deter visa application unless one choose to learn from their home country. Hoping that our government will open boarder soon and the rest will be history. Fingers crossed ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Dear , As the Vice-Chancellor, I and everyone at Bournemouth University are looking forward to welcoming you to BU in September. I am excited about the new academic year and I am sure that you are looking forward to it too. We are as committed as ever to providing you with an enjoyable and safe BU student experience - and we can’t wait to get started. We have spent the last few months working hard to make sure you will be able to enjoy your course, your accommodation and your life as a student when you join us in September. We are determined to offer you the best campus experience possible while keeping you safe at all times. We are working on the detail of our plans, which will change as government guidance changes. That means we need to be flexible and adapt quickly to changing circumstances. We want to share as much with you as we can now and we will keep you updated as plans change. Although you have already accepted your offer from BU, once more information is available you can still change your mind and explore other options. We are looking forward to showing you that while your BU experience may be different to begin with, you will be part of our BU community. Firstly, and perhaps most importantly, our campuses will be open to welcome you from September. Your course Where possible, specialist facilities on campus will be accessible in a safe and co-ordinated way from September. Learning will be supported online as a key part of all courses at the start of the academic year. This will include virtual classrooms where you’ll be able to interact further with your lecturers and get to know your classmates. We will be here to support you with learning in this new environment, and we’ll contact you again as soon as possible with more detail about the way your course will be delivered. We’ll also give you more information about sources of support with your learning and your options. We hope to have a full programme of face-to-face sessions on campus for all courses by the start of the second semester, if government guidelines permit. Your student experience We are working hard to ensure our fantastic libraries, student support and some SportBU facilities will be up and running during your first semester. We are following government advice to make sure we create a safe campus by implementing physical distancing measures for all students and staff. As well as our staff across BU, the Students’ Union at Bournemouth University (SUBU) are planning a wide range of activities and virtual events to help you join clubs and societies, find people who share the same interests as you, and settle into your new community. You can find out more about all the events and opportunities available when you join us in your ‘Welcome to BU’ guide. This will be sent to you in August and you will have plenty of time to decide what clubs and societies you’d like to join and what activities you’d like to take up. Your accommodation If you haven’t already booked, you can visit www.bournemouth.ac.uk/accommodation to see information about types of accommodation available, the booking process and terms and conditions for each option. Your new home in Bournemouth will be ready for you in September and we are working closely with our accommodation partners to ensure accommodation adheres to government guidance. We will contact you nearer the time with information about this. I look forward to meeting you in September, in person or virtually, and to seeing you on campus as soon as possible. Kind regards |

PLease house kindly advice me, university of Chester offered me msc adult nursing while Birmingham city university offered me msc Cybersecurity. aivewobhor:It seems you do not know what you want to do as your proposed course is opposite of each other. Both courses are on Tier 2 sponsored list. What do you have passion for or are you about just getting PR without focus on your career fulfilment?. Everything depends on you as I cant advise you in this case. You need to know what exactly you want to achieve. Good luck with your choice. 7 Likes |

Bros which one can you really do? Which one can you showcase your talent in? Which one can you easily succeed in, without feeling depressed or bored at some point? Which one do you have more experience in? The first one that comes to mind, go for it. They’re both good choices and have prospects for TIER 2. All the best aivewobhor: |

aivewobhor: Tier 2 visa sponsorship don't come cheap. Even when your discipline is on the shortage list there are so many immigration rules employers don't want to disturb themselves with because there are alternatives they can accomodate and not sponsor. I have seen MSc in IT with Distinction but no job. The advantage of healthcare jobs on shortage list is that everyone needs the service and there are no alternatives because the UK will not compromise it's standard for practitioners. So if you love the two options equally and don't mind working for an employer for a long time, I will say you have better chance of getting sponsored with adult nursing. 3 Likes |

aivewobhor:Nursing and Cyber security? You must be a genius. Please did you use the same qualifications for both or how did it come about? |
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by Mizzfy: 9:53pm On Jun 16, 2020 |
Please go for nursing, I repeat go for nursing. You can't go wrong studying nursing because as soon as you are done, you can register with the nursing board and you will get a job even if you need sponsorship. Vacancies in healthcare are endless. IT jobs are highly competitive and more so you need to find a sponsor. Just finished my msc in cybersecurity, no hope of finding a tier 2 sponsor. If I could start the process all over, I will go for nursing. 3 Likes |

The fact that you haven’t gotten a job yet, doesn’t mean someone else won’t. Everyone has their own grace. I don’t see why someone with no interest in nursing should go for it because of work. Peoples lives are in your hands abeg. Mizzfy: 1 Like |

Thanks for all your advices. I will go for nursing. Although I graduated as a mechanical engineer and have been working as an assistant nurse for close to two years. So I applied for nursing with my engineering qualifications and backed it up with my health care experience, that was how I got the admission. And as for Cybersecurity I just applied hoping to get a positive outcome which I did. Thanks all, we move to the next stage 5 Likes |

bennymine:I'm in Abuja and did mine at their HQ. Not sure what you mean by Standard/Enhanced NIN one this is however sure, you'd need your NIMC number when applying so you can either register at any NIMC office before going or you do both at the NIS office. I also had help, he practically helped with all the running around. |
