How did it work pls... did you just walk in into their office when it got to the time on appointmentletter? Or did you have to queue? NairaLuck: |

Foski01: From my experience, did mine before covid. when you'll go there you'll say ahhh.. so there's money in Nigeria. Theyll check your passport before you go in. Then yall would be given a form to fill.. your name, email, passport number, signature and all.. Y'all would sit for a while then y'all would line in accordance to your appointment time and you'll be given your number... Its very and exhausting... when you finally hear your number.. you then go inside and take your biometrics then they'll give you a paper and tell you to keep it well... That's my own experience oo |

SKEPTA:Guys, with this daily issues with upfront medicals do you think it's wise to do it or wait for their request since the VACs and International flights are about to resume. Maybe they're gradually returning back to the normal way if processing. I'm just thinking out loud, is it wise to still do upfront medicals? Or is it the hospitals fault? 2 Likes |

Hi, This is more like a form/generic response a program assistant or graduate coordinator would send. There is no need following up with this person. My suggestion is for you to search for other professors with similar research interests as you within the program or else where. A positive feedback from prospective supervisor(s) will typically lead to requesting additional info/documents (good) from you or requesting a Skype/G-hangout/Zoom meeting (Great) to assess you further. This is like a job interview and you have about 5 minutes to sell yourself. If you make a good impression at this stage, you are almost sure this will lead to support of your application. PhD recruitment process in that clime is a big deal, very competitive and you are typically seen as part of the department staff during your stay. Also, 90% of successful PhD applications will come with one form of funding or another (partial or full). Although it takes time and requires preparation but it is very possible and people get those green lights daily. Thanks. Ogedadiva: |

VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION: Can two separate applications have the same sponsor? Will the VO find out? This is my situation. Precisely, my brother and I paid different agents for the entire processing (this was unplanned). We both now have different admissions and we are about to apply for our study permits. The only option for both of us is using our Dad as sponsor. I’m really worried if this won’t have any effect. They can only identify a sponsor by his name, and several people can bear the same name - so I personally feel there is no way the VO will find out that the sponsor is the same on two applications. I need to hear from others however. Sadly, even if it would have effect, there’s still no other option for sponsorship. P.S - Please I need answers only if you are sure, because your answer may totally discourage me, and that’s the last thing I need right now. Thanks. |

SKEPTA: Hello Skepta... Four Webforms and two emails? That's not needed.. In as much you saw it submitted successfully, you have nothing to worry about becuase its stated on the website you won't get an acknowledgement if your app is still within processing time. Its also stated you shouldn't send more than one webform for the same enquiry. I'll advice you just chill... It'll reflect soon 1 Like |
