What's the connection between this story and disintegration of the country?
Is the police in your area different from the one described here?
Are your tribe's people doing differently from what is described here?

WINDSOW:
But brethren, how do we continue in a country as this and expect positive vibes, God forbid! Dear Lord, may Nigeria disintegrate, however n whatever. Amen

A pure , undiluted wickedness...and there is still a question to be raised concerned the DPP advise..the DPP supposed to send the advice to court registrar not police. May the nature never walk against us.

Nigeria as a whole needs overhauling proper one, from the leader to the law enforcement agents.... Today at the bus stop a police traffic warden stopped a bus, what was the issue nothing, he was just hitting the driver with his baton, a passerby infuriated by the drama stepped in and started arguing with the police man , another traffic warden from nowhere came and tore this guy's clothes insisting he will take him to the station... The matter gan tire me if not for onlookers that pleaded with them na so innocent guy go sleep for cell....

I'm not surprised at all, a colleague once bought a car from a SARS officer, months later he was arrested and told that he bought a stolen vehicle. They arrested him , and a bunch of other guys involved including the SARS officer that sold the vehicle. Alas, the SARS officer was released after a few hours leaving those guys still in detention for a while before they paid huge sums for bail despite the fact that the police man that sold the car was already arrested and released...I tire for NPF.

I am n ll never be tribalistic. Isn't it glaring that the country cant stand. The best thing is we all to go our ways n start afresh. Personally, I don't fancy this entity called Nigeria. It's just not working. Let's cease flogging a dead horse. It won't wake!

I met a guy in December, he was arrested in the evening going to work at Obalende and because he could not paid ten thousand naira. He spent 2 years in Ikoyi prison, guess what he had case file, but apart from 1st day prosecutor never showed up, it was the third time that the judge said if the prosecutor did not show up at next adjournment he will dismiss the case after a church provided a lawyer for him. On the 4th hearing nobody showed up, that was how he was freed. He had no where to go, because his phone was ceased and he could not trace any family, because the aunty could not be reached on phone and his aged mother in the village do not have phone as of the time he was arrested.
Why do Nigeria Police collect your phone and make you in accessible?
Our inhumanity against one another is out of space.

But my worry is that when the youths gather here they don't talk of how the society will be rescued instead they are more interested in tribal abuse upandan.

Pathetic.

Feel sorry for the young man.

Disintegration is never a solution.
Justice is the solution.

If the police officer is sacked for negligence/dereliction of duty, and the young man compensated financially, justice would have been served. When Justice rules people take correction. Other police officers would learn to do the right thing if they know that they would be punished for not doing the right thing.

The experience of that young man is happening all over the country.

the part one of the blame goes to the police while the imprisonment party goes to the DPP. They should all be summoned. This case of properly handled will reset the brain of many

I nearly suffered such in their hands. What annoyed me most was my phone that they sized. From that day I have little knowledge of what people are going through in this place called a country. I wept for innocent people languishing in cell.

Nigerian police ehn fear them much more than Boko haram sects. The evil dwelling in some of those animals are beyond human comprehension. The day I would have said we have different set of good professional police was the day a friend had a case transferred to Nigerian Police Anti Fraud Unit, the office is Off Bourdillion, Ikoyi. Those people will attend to you like a decent people even entertain you with soft drinks, my people forget it, no difference with normal them ooo. Dem go charge you minimum 200k for bail. If you no get that money they will change towards the offenders. Since the experience that experience. I'm not sure there is hope for this country again.

Prayer is that you dont become a prey in the hands of these police officers. All police stations are notorious for wickedness, but some are dealier, Panti, Denton, Olosan, Area F, Idi-Oro, Ojuelegba and Onipanu to mention a few.

Thats the sad reality of our country. Few days ago i wrote a comment on Peter's and Kodak pictures death thread. The rich and influencial are always invited or interrogated with respect no matter ur offence but the poor will be bundled without fair hearing. Nigeria cant be saved by anyone but GOD. The foundation is bad, our constitution doesnt work for the poor. Most times i dont pity police going thru calamities. Karma will definately locate them

Our reward and punishment system in this country is to be blamed. The policemen who unlawfully detained him, the prosecutor who will not forward the DPP's advice to the magistrate because he probably not paid. All of them will not be punished so they will keep doing same and teach younger recruits to do the same instead of their punishment serving as a deterrent. SMH!

Many at times I wish all police men in this country were dead because I hate them with passion. They are an embargo on our peaceful coexistence as civilians
Re: Lagos Bricklayer Spends Six Years In Prison For Phantom Robbery by after7: 9:55pm On May 06, 2020
One of the reasons I try to distance myself wherever I see them and also if I see disturbance.

I remember back when I was staying at Shomolu, Lagos, police picked a co-tenant when she was escorting a visitor just down the street. She was accused of wandering. Then GSMs were just fairly introduced. In fact they were randomly picking people on the streets.

Luckily neighbors saw this and quickly came to inform. We had to go grease some palms.

In this era we are in now, police would seize your phone, lie that the innocent victim is not in their custody angry and likely do away with that person.
