While infrastructure is very important to state revenue generation and improving the lots of people, the governments of Akwa Ibom and Ebonyi States must take steps to improve the living conditions of their peoples.

People from those two states do lots of pitiful and degrading jobs, so their governments must take expedient measures to address it
my friend generally all states in Nigeria needs adequate infrastructure to help its locals and only lagos is trying...u jus hand picked akwa ibom and ebonyi states and generalized your claim asif the other states in the norths, south, east abs west have proper infrastructures and well paying jobs and dont engage in worst degrading kinda jobs...lets be guided plss

I keep wondering why the Government and illustrious sons and daughters of Akwa Ibom keep allowing things like this happen to their citizens. Go to most brothels withing the country, Akwa Ibom ladies make up the larger percentage of ladies hustling there so to speak. This is so unfair! Something need be done speedily.

Sometimes these women are not trafficked, they enter prostitution on their own, some families sell their land and other properties to send their daughters abroad (Italy), however when bursted, they turn around to claim they had been trafficked. Women can never be held responsible for their actions, they are always victims in their own game.

I thought we had a functioning organization created by Atiku's wife in 2001 for checking such atrocities... I believe NAPTIP or some name like that... Did the organization become moribund or get scrapped??!...

The increasing cases of human trafficking within this nation is deeply worrisome!!!

NAPTIP is just like any human rights agency in Nigeria. Their default 'stratagem' is release a publication about one case they managed to crack in a thousand, and go forth into silence afterwards.....

U can play soothing music for extras... Now do u think insulting someone's sister and daughter is good. No thank u we rather live in poverty and in peace. Than celebrating crime culture and dragging our history, and our ancestors name through the mud. Few material things are not real wealth or riches, it's a temporary happiness. ill gotten wealth make u depressed unhappy always on Drugs, majority of them commit suicide, end up in jail. With all ur facial beauty U are still very dumb and ignorant. I used to admire ur beauty till I found out ur brain is terribly empty. In ur parasitic proposition of one nigeria, U dnt even know de major ethnic groups in de country. Calling Akwa-ibom igbo shows how dumb you are. They are Ibibios. After Igbos and Ijaw, they are about the next along with their sister ethnic group in crossriver, the Efiks. Try and read wide. Not coming to nairaland to spew rubbish in ur mad quest of supporting dumb leaders in nigeria.
