How can they be sure only Lagosians will vote?
Maybe people voted with thier LASSRA number.

They had better not institute another lockdown. Instead LASG to enforce the use of standard nose mask, ✋ gloves and use of hand sanitiser. They are there talking nonsense about another lockdown.

I hope the developers of Lagos take this chance very seriously.

Online polls are the closest they can get to participating in Lagos politics since they got a few seats in Lagos in 2015 and used 2015 to 2019 to insult their helpers.

This government should put in more efforts in testing and tracing. They are more committed to lockdown than testing. Let them start looking for how to test at least 5 Million.
Do u think they have the capacity? You cannot give what you don't have.

The government is clueless on what to do. They have no plan hence lock down. Other counties are opening , Lagos is contemplating lock down. Any plan to further lock down will fail. I pray God gives them sense to take a proactive step in their fight.

If they end up instituting another lockdown, just know that no palliative will be given to anybody because LASG will simply say "Well, you asked us to lockdown again."
so better start saving your cash

You have a good point o... But let me also remind you that Lagosians are not helping matters. All directives put in place are not being observed and instead of them to keep to this simple instruction on social distancing, they resolved to emotional blackmail that the rules are strict on them as commercial motorists and market women and men. I have an health worker with me who happens to be one of these covid19 doctors at Yaba, when she start to narrate the pains that the affected people passes through and how they died, you don't need anyone to tell you to maintain social distancing or even stay at home. The lockdown affects all classes, but one way or the other we learn to survive through it. Waiting for palliative from the government is just like waiting for Ronaldo to come back to Real Madrid because it won't happen. I expect that our local churches/Mosque should stepped in as it is obvious that the government has let us down but unfortunately we aren't getting any their support or maybe a little. When there is life, we have hope that we will bounce back no matter what... It is better than exposing ourselves to be a deadly disease and die untimely.

They should not try another lock down

You can't lock down people from surviving especially when you don't do anything differently to salvage the situation.

During the six weeks lock down, they never tested people more than the way they are testing people now.
They lock down then go home and sit down like the rest of us with the hope that magic happens.

Please leave Lagos alone

I understand your concerns. However the lockdown is not the only determinant of the rate of employment. Truth is we have been running an unefficient overstaffed system since the Udoji salary awards in the 70's. We have also been producing what is essentially low skilled, inflexible work force since the 90's. What the Corona virus has done is accelerated the speed of digital change all over the world and people are unable to respond.

This is not just the fault of the people, our government has also failed to install the digital infrastructure required to transform the economy. If you look at Estonia which is a highly digitalised economy with a very high standard of education you will see that the destruction of real gdp is much less than say the US which favours high tech clusters instead of democratised technology.

Its a problem that Nigerians are going to have to own because no one can help us. Everyone must come out of their pity party and adapt to the new realities. Lock down or no lockdown, the economy has changed forever. Your job has changed. Can you?

The disparity between FB and Twitter goes to figure.

More of the upper class on Twitter. They can work from anywhere. Their livelihoods aren't really affected by the lockdown. Granted, they might not be able to go the gym, but they are too scared of covid19 to want that anymore. There is also the political class cashing out big time on covid19.

On Facebook, the reverse is the case. Less of the upper class individuals. The lower socioeconomic class dominates that forum. They need to earn their living daily. They need their employers businesses to thrive else they'll be out of a job soon.

There is a whole set of people that can't even afford to waste time or their little hard-earned money online. They far outnumber the population on Twitter and Facebook combined.

As for their opinion, your guess is as good as mine.
