The poll is a waste of time and resources. Instead of creating a public poll whereby people who don't know much about how to such their personal problem talkless of the societal problem, why can't the state government seek a professional opinion from those who really know the issue in terms of economics and medical effects on people.. Then from that professional advice, they could be able to take an informed decision.....this matter is beyond public opinion polls. Let's not toll with the lives and destiny of Lagosian

Irrelevant polls.

Large majority of people who will bear the brunt of a lockdown are not on Twitter, Facebook etc
Talking about millions of market women, hawkers, & millions of hustlers who depend on their daily earnings.

We just have to start adapting to living with the virus instead of all these lockdowns without palliatives.

Social Media government

If they end up instituting another lockdown, just know that no palliative will be given to anybody because LASG will simply say "Well, you asked us to lockdown again."

I rather think it is a good idea to test the waters because this emergency is multi-factual and from the divided opinion it is clear that a debate is needed to tilt the narrative in one direction or the other.

This is governing by consensus and is commendable. This pandemic will be a long drawn out thing and the goverment will need the endurance of the people to accomoplish its goals. You cannot get that by unilateralism or fiat. That will bring social disorder.

So when leadership sees 'bodies on the streets (melinda blues) on one hand versus starvation in the homes on the other it needs to have a third leg of support.

Town halls are now needed. That is the logical step for cerebral minds at ease with leadeship. Good start LASG.

It will take much more than a man to not lose his sanity and get confused when ruling Nigerians.

It would take a god.

Nigerians have to be among the most hypocritical and complex human beings on earth.

ITK abounds everywhere. Everybody knows too much, everybody has a say about everything.

Lock down complain, Oya go out but maintain all the precautions, still complain.

It's obvious the government genuinely does not have the means to provide palliative for 30 percent of the people, where the money wan come from na?

This government and subsequent ones must get serious and prepare for the next pandemic to come. But for this one, we've been caught unawares.

The Government is not made up of gods, they could get confused too.

If anybody tells me that they know the exact thing to do in this situation, that person is a bloody liar.

Nothing wrong in doing the poll. We just have a lot of foolish hypocrites who look into the mirror daily and tell the guy there how smart they think they are.

The world has passed lockdown phase, its management phase now, why do Nigerian politicians like easy solutions...you want to send hungry people to sit at home,to what end...stop this nonsense lazy approach focus on regulation, enforcement and research for solutions. Lockdown will destroy people's lives, stop this nonsense, those voting for lockdown are lazy unemployed idiots/dependents.

You people should not try that rubbish in Lagos o.

We've not even recovered from the last one.
The effect could take months or even years on us.

I'm positive that the people that voted in the mumu poll are not Lagosians.

They are mostly civil servants in Lagos whose salaries are not affected by the lockdown

So this undemocratic Government has given the decision back to the people in the guise of a "Social Media Poll"? I have never seen any country use social media to determine its policy, Nigeria is truly a jungle.

The people on social media are probably middle/upper class earners who are seating comfortable at home with well stocked freezers and stores. The average man depends on a days work to eat. They did not provide palliatives during the first farce lockdown, they did not increase testing, they did not equip the hospitals, they did not build new hospitals. All the Politicians did was loot, stock up their mansions and sat at hom and folded their hands, praying the virus would disappear. This is what happens when you vote in barely literate visionless thugs into power.

The political elite don't have a clue on what they do so they continue to watch BBC and then copy and paste without implementing the protective measures the British Government has put in place to feed its citizens, protect jobs and the healthcare system.

Was there palliatives b4? You want to use two trucks of food to feed 22m people? All those packages (not only from LSG all over the country) are scams.

Maybe people voted with thier LASSRA number.

They had better not institute another lockdown. Instead LASG to enforce the use of standard nose mask, ✋ gloves and use of hand sanitiser. They are there talking nonsense about another lockdown.

This was my question the other day. Were people asked to provide their LASSRA number before voting? It's social media, even those based in India would have voted also. I'm sure some non-nigerians might have even voted. So on what basis do they know that it's ONLY THOSE LIVING IN LAGOS THAT VOTED?

Funny part was that I used to think Sanwo-Olu was surrounded by intellectuals, this online voting stuff just proved that there are some ***** in his cabinet.

He needs to remove whoever brought this idea if such a person can't answer the question I posted
