No need for these verbose response.

Nigerians distrust their leaders..

But this is very understandable given the profligacy, stark greed and primitive accumulation evinced by the vast majority of our political leaders and their appointees..

Too bad that such a project with huge resources can't be traced to school children, parents or wards that benefited..

Re: School Feeding Programme Not A ‘Scam’ - Vanguard by whitelotus: 4:04pm On May 18, 2020
What blatant lies and propaganda.

Every school programme should be stopped except it is an online programme.

How do you know where to feed these children when they are not in school? Some might move to village for the quarantine lockdown period. Some may live far from school and some may spend the quarantine period with other relatives in another state.

South Africa stopped its programme.

Nigeria that is less organised is continuing. Okay...

We the silent majority know.

Let the very noisy minority continue to wail all over social media.

Palliatives come in different forms across the world.

USA is giving raw cash running into trillions of nairadollars ,wailers are hailing.

Just to reach households via the school feeding programme, misguided elements are wailing.

What Nigeria is doing is far more productive than doling out cash.

More Farmers and food vendors would be productively engaged.

Even transporters of food items .

How about manufacturers of packaging materials?

The list is endless,a direct effect on GDP.
Are you serious or you are playing sarcasms here ?

Nobody said the programme does not exist. what people are concerned about is the transparency of such a programme at this time.

we want to see proof that it has not turned to a corruption ladden scheme. unfortunately, this write up didn't do enough to alleviate the fears of people.

Blame the lazy Nigerian press and the semi educated gullible Nigerians who are in the habit of not reading fully before commenting. They see headlines, and boom they start posting trash based on the headlines instead of understanding what the issue is all about.

Raw food items are giving such like the ones you read in the post to their parents. The program is not new just the it's being modified to the present home feedings, likewise the schools and the students are not new. The parents go to accredited centres, with a special designed vouchers to collect the raw food items

This adds more to the economy than just giving people cash. In fact some are advocating similar approach in the US cos some are collecting money and not spending it. The objective of giving out money is to stimulate the economy buy people buy goods and services with the money.
This is a direct approach to stimulating the economy.
Hey, what do you really expect from the wailing wailers? Good or bad, they gon wail anyway.

How do you mean?

What is wrong with palliatives to households?

Do you comprehend the economic multiplier effects?

More money into farmers and vendors pocket.

The good thing about economics is that nothing like wasted money if government spends internally.

Far far better that what USA is doing, doling out cash.

This government defends everything because it's hiding something. If it's not a scam, what students would benefit from this thing? Schools haven't even opened
