the woman never said anything bad.it would sound absurb to many this modern time. And moreever since it was not forced on by her by the family. What has been the families reaction ,at least they took part in his funeral ceremonies. there is a procedure in this regard concerning her fate.despite modern times and all you are the best relative in line.the family opinion matters alot ,most especially if they were in good relations with the man. you own it a responsibility to take care of the mans business interest till the children are of age and affairs of running the mans home. that is why conscience wise you visit the place out of goodwill. what part of nigeria are you from.what is the age of his only son.what age did ur uncle die.what is ur age and his wifes own.

I had a good uncle who passed away three years ago. His wife morned him for one year. I lived with that my uncle until I got married and parked to my own house.

I use to visit the house sometimes. After the mourning, his wife called me and told me that I should give her more children. She has only one male child. I refused. But She said I should do it for her because she doesn't want children outside the family because she loved my uncle and our family and that she can't continue to stay with only one child.

I'm completely confused. First I'm married doing that is infidelity, sencondly, the uncle was like a father to me before his death. And I see it as a big sin.

Please somebody should help me, what do I do here? How do I handle this issue? Thanks for your candid advice.

Your uncle's brothers should be the ones not you, that's if at all.

Let the marriage bed be free of Fornication- Hebrews 13:4. What does that mean to you? Read the full verse and ask yourself what it means.

IVF option. Donate sperm via fertility clinic with your wife's consent.

My advice is that
1) i think you just a church goer, cos if you are a Christian, you wouldn't think of this, pls kindly read 1 Corinthians 7, it will help you.
2) people telling you to give her more kids, wouldn't be there to help you when troubles start, definitely there will be serious trouble.
3) if she wants more kids, she should go and abduct a child or children, they are looking for new homes
4) In this tym and Nigeria condition under buhari you want to start running two homes
5) only thing you are obligated is to train ur late uncle's son, by the way if you agree, what are the chances of her giving birth cos she's in her 40s and in Science, her chances are slim
6) How will your uncle feel inside his grave, a woman that you took as a mother is now your lover, forget tradition, even in tradition, if you were ur uncle's direct younger brother, who is older than the woman, it is a different story, but you are his nephew

This is dicey.
First, her request was out of strong consideration and reflection. If your uncle was a man of substance, I think you should consider it with the consent of the family member.
If he is not, take responsibility of the Child he left behind and encourage the woman to find someone else.

If you must do this request, involve the elders, at least 3 older men in your family to discuss on this issue and get their acceptance. Tell them what she said, tell them you're interested and let them decide if you're the right man for the job or not.

If you jump over them and do this, you'll be committing a lot of atrocities. First of, her sleeping with a married man is wrong. Second, your child with her won't be seen as your uncle's, which should be the intent behind her request, but as your child and that is adultery; more like betrayal to your uncle.

Whatever you're being advised here must only be done after you get the go-ahead to impregnate her cause even in the olden days, a man was chosen by the elders to impregnate a widow to continue the family's lineage, he didn't do it of his own volition. That's tradition. Follow it.

also he must involve hiz wife in this
nice advice!

It is easier said, the moment she decides that you would be first person to cast a stone.IN Nigeria and Africa we are all aware of the stigma accorded the woman. but if a man loses his and the next minute he can marry without no hassles.

Oga, she should remarry. Make I give her picken begin scatter my own family? By the way, is there no a more elderly person in the family that can grant her wishfull wish? How come she only has a child with the uncle? @Op, you will have to start servicing that woman from time to time o. So oo, please don't do it.

My brother, any child you have outside your matrimonial home will definitely cause you pain later in future. Refusal to accept those children as your own leads to abject poverty and many bad things in the future. The mystery behind what many people are suffering today is as a result of past mistakes or careless life of the past which can never be corrected again.

Flee to protect your future from complications that's is very devastating at old age.

You will not suffer at old age ooo. Amin

I believe she has love for the family, that's why she proposed that to you(at least someone she has been with before the husband died).
I also believe that she is responsible type because most ladies don't even care rather roaming around sleeping with men having kids outside which will be a kind of shame to the family and keeps them talking about her action.
Bro, the best advise you can get, is from a few elders of your family.
Think about this 50:50..... consider her feelings, consider your uncle also consider yourself. Remember, nothing is new in this life .
Life is a movie, everyone busy playing his/her own character. No one has the right to state or judge what is right or wrong, the wise will only be busy playing that character that contributes to its history after him/her.
remember: lot's daughters slept with their father and begot him children by going against the law to retain their father's history.
I believe you are now a man (look things beyond the optical view ) never join the chorus of the audience .

Check your family's tradition and seek advice from your elders. In Ijaw land(Bayelsa), it is customary for a younger man to inherit his late father/brother's wife but you also have the right to say no . If you say no, the woman has the right to look for husband outside the family. My dad rejected his late dad's wife, til the rejection she had no right to look for suitor outside the family. Few years ago, my uncle who is yet to marry also rejected his late elder brother's wife. It means these things are fading off.
