People know how corrupt the police is, it needs a body for check and balance.
Why make a police commissioner more powerful than a state Government?
Why propose a bill that is in conflict with the provisions of the constitution?

Completely removing colonialism and its vestiges from the Nigeria Police would require more than amending the Police Act to the point of uprooting the entire enterprise and reconstructing it. It was the Native Authority Police that graduated to Nigeria Police and the NA police brought its mentality and training that has persisted down the line till today.

The should remove that Chief security officer tag from the governors and maybe also remove the security vote, let’s know that the security of any state is now purely at the messy of Abuja.
