Those 14 law makers knew that once they allowed themselves to be sworn in, that's the end of everything.

The only way they thought they could pressure the governor to reconvene the house was by refusing to be sworn in.

Unfortunately it didn't work out because Obaskei exhibited the highest level of impunity and dictatorship by his action and got away with it because the man who's supposed to ensure party members are treated justly was slumbering in Aso Rock.

The biggest scandal of this Obaseki/Oshiomole beef is the commando-style election of speaker by 9 out of 24 members.
And of course people who hate this administration and hate Oshiomole have been clapping for Obaseki.

I wonder what people would have said if Buhari did what Obaseki did at the senate.

All elected lawmakers must be sworn in at the same time and together so they choose their speaker together; any thing other than this is criminal.

Even if the democratically elected law makers want to elect the devil as their speaker, no soul has got the right to play God and stop them..

So the guy who refused to be sworn in until it is done for everyone together is at fault ,

But the guy who used 10 people to elect a speaker in the middle of the night is not at fault.?

The first person I've seen use this word "both"

Every other person I've been arguing with have been blatant refusing to agree that Obaseki did anything wrong.
To them he's been a saint in this saga.

To them Oshiomole is the devil for the way he has treated Obaseki.

But to them Obaseki is not the devil for the way he has treated the 14 duly elected law makers.

They have a good excuse for Obaseki but not for Oshiomole.

l agree with you. Both men were wrong and right right partly. If any of them had good knowledge of 48 Laws of power, he could have come out clean.

l think the problem was from anticipated fear of the future. Obeseki wanting to take control of the house to avoid future impeachment by Adams. He could have simply lobby some of them to get the house majority. if he did and they declined, he used force. Anybody will good sense of 9ja politics will understand e.g Saraki and Buhari silence in Senate executives.
Adams wanted to control his son I think that's were l blamed him. Look at Anambra now. No godfathering. Lead and bow out. lf Adams had allowed his son free hands, he would still get his respect and share. Look at Secondus of PDP, anyday he undermines wike will see his exit.

Both men were wrong but Adams should take buck of the blame.

Look, politics in Nigeria is a business and it is a paying business.

My greatest concern in all this, where lies the interest of the good people of Edo in all this?
