Dansuqi: You mean those 10 years old kids voting in Kano wanted him out? Kikikikikiki. Lagos-Ibadan press did a good job assassinating GEJ's character. I actually suggested he should surprise everyone and not even stand in the election. Though many would have said he chickened out. But he still conceded defeat early. APC were busy planning to form a parallel govt. APC planned for a fight, sabotage and disorder that they failed to plan for order and good governance. Thank God you guys rigged the election. If not, people would say Buhari would have done wonders. |

The President in the dissolution speech was acting like a Garrison Commander forgetting we are in a democracy. Besides why carry a party meeting to the State House. 2023 unfolding we shall all see ... |

aminulive:. I have carefully reviewed APC crisis consequent upon the dissolution of the NWC yesterday and my position is as follow: 1. Consequent upon the resignation of Segun Oni as the deputy chairman Ajimobi was chosen to replace him.Nomination of Ajimobi was neither approved by convention nor the NEC.Ajimobi had no legal right to call the NEC meeting neither Eta who was acting for him. 2 Many months ago a court ratified suspension of Oshiomole and made Gardom the acting chairman.Gardiom was a product of convention and in the absence of Oni Segun he was the next person produced at the convention who could fill the existing vacant of the South in the NWC.No wonder the judge made him acting Chairman for 14 days. However Oshomiole through another court secured his position. 3 When Gardom was going to contest in Rivers it appears no letter of resignation was given to NWC.It was a gentleman agreement among the NWC members.4 An appeal court weeks ago sustained the suspension of Oshiomole.5 Gardiom returned to the FHC to secure his renewal of the 14 day acting chairmanship which was granted.6 Within the 14 days he arranged for a NEC meeting which Oshiomole did not do for about 2 years now.7. The NEC dissolved the NWC and formed a caretaker committee. All court cases should be withdrawn by all members. 8 Ajimobi led group decided to go to court to challenge NEC decision. In view of the above the questions are 1 Was Gardiom qualified to act as the acting chairman? Answer YES He has a legal recognition to do so.If NEC had approved Ajimobi as the deputy chairman Gardiom would not have any opportunity again.2 Did Gardiom have the right to call for the NEC meeting ? YES. He was the acting chairman of the party legally.3 Did the NEC have the right to dissolve the NWC ? Answer is YES .The NWC is just a tool of the NEC and the party supremacy supecedes any interest. 4.Can a party member go to court again now? Answer is YES but such a member is going against the position and the interest of the party and will be dismembered. 5 Is there any wisdom of going to court ?Answer is NO party supremacy is the final .NEC has taken a decision already which is biding 6 Is there any provision for a caretaker committee? Answer is NO .However In a case of emergency a caretaker committee can be formed to salvage a peace threatening condition in a party Marafa vrs Sherrif SC judgement on PDP NWC tussle. 7.Did Oshiomole slacked by not calling for the NEC meeting to ratify Ajimobi new position as the deputy chairman ? Answer is YES...As soon as he was restored he should have called a NEC meeting for approbation of Ajimobi position...... APC case is a case of political calculation and miscalculation with the overtone of 2023 election. As for now the NEC decision is the beat for the party. |
