Everything is for northern Nigeria not even one serious project is for the south especially southeast and south-south, some people are pointing the 2nd river Niger bridge, this bridge was started by Jonathan's administration. The Niger-Delta region whose land produces about 98% of the Nigerians wealth is left with no single project. TOO BAD

May God punish all of those with all this wicked plans. You transport Gas from the East all the way to the north. Leaving the resource base in its abysmal condition.

And all those bereft, ignorant morons shouting 'its good' it's good' here, I don't even know what to say about your pathetic mental bankruptcy.

God bless our darling Daddy

What’s good about transporting gas from south to north? Can’t be build the power plant in the south and save the cost of building pipelines? People like you are so dumb and quick to type shit.

And Nigeria is not all about south. Northeast, Northwest need something too.

Hmm, it is true sha. Sometime we take north as one geo-political zone

Lagos Ibadan railway
Itakpe warri rail way
Second Niger bridge.
Porthaetcourt new international terminal airport.
Zik museum.

In all the above with exception 2nd Niger bridge, all have been completed to 80-100%

Point out the ones carried out in the north? Everything must be in your region?

If second Niger is a Jonathan project, then pipeline too is Jonathan project in 2013.

States with Standard Gauge Rail in Nigeria.

South

1. Lagos
2. Oyo
3. Ogun
4. Edo
5. Delta

North

1. Kogi
2. Kaduna

Why do Nigeria waste money building pipe line to favor the North. Can't the power plant be built in ajaokuta since the gas is located there. Nonsense and ingredient. This Northern agenda will end one day.

Is there gas in the North?

Natural gas is a commodity, it can either be extracted and process in the Niger Delta or purchase from an external country, but it will still require a pipeline for transfer to its target market.

BTW I don't support or like Buhari but I support this initiative.

if we have gas already in Ajaokuta, why can't this power plant be build around that vicinity, instead of Abj, KD and Kano.

we can have a Solar farm in those areas, to reduce cost of electricity production.

It’s the same upside down thinking that made them think it was such a good idea to site a refinery in Kaduna state....far away from its source of raw material!

Trying to make a socio-economic analysis of the Nigerian economy is a herculean task because Nigeria operates with a completely different set of rules from the rest of the world!

Any wonder the country has been likened to a shithole; is the headquarters of poverty in the world; and hosts two of the top five most deadly terrorist organisations in the world!?

Coming from a dullard who claim we should not check internal generated revenue to ascertain the wealth of a state I rather pass.

Direct your statement to foolish Igbos like you wey no get sense. Na your papa income tax I suppose go check to how wealthy a state is, Mr Foolish.

Cherez:

Bros in context, what you should search isn't absolute values of internally generated values for contribution to the state coffers.
The NGA govt owns ventures they make monies from rather than directly from state govt's
As per contribution to the national coffers what you should check is not state generated revenues
Think before you speak

Dude you’re responding to is either not Igbo or he’s a grade 1 efulefu!

How can any true Igbo see the way we’re being cheated while that bigoted demon Buhari takes everything to the core north, yet still be championing ‘one Nigeria’?

that's why it becomes more startegic for us play our game politically so that when we assume leadership position, we can start bringing vital and long impactful projects in our region the way the North has used the vantage point to their advantage. If you are hoping to achieve Biafra, you'll wait eternity. that's the honest truth, make your peace with that..

Are you ok at all?
All state internally generated revenue doesn't go to the FG
In the current arrangement of Nigeria, the FG only takes control of it's own revenue source for example the APAPA wharf in Lagos is totally under the FG, LASG doesn't take control then pay to the FG
Now contribution to National coffers (which is our argument) by each state can only be done by ascertaining the revenue generating sources of the FG in each state.

There's no need to 'make my peace' with a load of horseshit coming from a Igbo wannabe like you! You wouldn't recognise TRUTH even if it came up and gave you a well deserved slap on your 'one Nigeria' loving face!

What do we have: we have a grossly anti-Igbo party led by a equally grossly anti-Igbo and bigoted president that has tagged them 5 percenters just 'cos they didn't fall over themselves to 'vote' for him the way almajiri children, illegal immigrants, ghosts and cows voted for him in his core muslim north; we have a man that believes the presidency belongs to the Fulani, and this is reflected in most of the appointments he makes to critical economic and security positions, while shunting Ndigbo (ONE OF THE THREE MAJOR ETHNIC GRPS IN THE COUNTRY) to the sidelines....leaving them with nothing; we have a greedy bastard of a president that feels it's ok to take a 22 billion dollar loan and leave out an entire region because he despises them and has tagged them 5 percenters, and when asked 'oga, wetin happen', his minions will use their get-out-of-jail card that is the 2nd Niger bridge to say Ndigbo are getting their share and therefore have nothing to complain about; we have a president that feels it's ok to send down Fulani soldiers to gun down protesting Igbo youth in cold blood just because they're agitating for freedom, and up till today there's still no inquiry into the state-sponsored murders; we have a president that campaigned in 2015 on the twin issues of security and economy, yet today -on both counts- things have nosedived deep into the gutter from how they were when GEJ was president, with Nigeria now being tagged a shithole, hosting two of the worlds five most deadliest terror grps, and being headquarters of the poorest of the poor in the entire universe!

You see all this, and instead of you to realise the present political-economy in place since the late 60s is no more tenable and is antithetical to the interests of Ndigbo, you that claims to be a Igbo man feels it's ok to continue doing the same thing we've been doing since the late 60 and expect a different result! It's fools like you that feel voting in a certified bigot, a wahabist and a islamofascist in 2015 was such a good idea, and that he will 'phight kwarruption' and lead us to Uhuru!

Dude, you just can't be Igbo with this serious case of stockholm-syndrome you're exhibiting! smiley

A typical of your type who claim respect us in their gene but lack everything that has to do with respect
What has my father got to do with your inability to decipher the difference between IGR & contribution to National coffers?

A lot of Southerners cannot see that Buhari is actually preparing the North for a bigger role and those that can see, cant talk!
The man is implementing a road map that says:
if the South want to secede, we will make it very unattractive for them by ensuring they are no longer economically viable. Infact, when we are true with using their resources to develop the North, they will be begging us not to secede.

Just look back into the last five years and you wills ee this in EVERYTHING Buhari has been doing.

Why not build the Power plant at Ajaokuta, since it is easier and cheaper to transport Power to the North, than to transport gas?
What about all the Power Plants in the South that are short of gas, what happenes to them? E nor concern Buhari and his cabals.
He is building another Refinery in the North, Railway Engineering School, just think about any Project, it is going to the North.

It got so bad that he told foreign Aid agencies that if they want to work in Nigeria, they MUST work only in the North.
Southerners are under siege but some of them are still playing PDP Vs. APC, when the Northerners are just playing Northerners.

Eyes go clear very soon.

So it is easier to transport high voltage electricity for thousands of kilometers than gas?. Hmmmm...

Even if you see it, you won't believe. You do not believe that there's 2nd Niger bridge going on, you don't believe the rehabilitation of the Akanu Ibiam Airport, you don't believe the construction of the Enugu-PortHarcourt express road, you don't believe the construction of the Enugu-Onitsha express road, you don't believe the constructed Zik Moseleum in Onitsha and many others. So, oga park well make we see road.
Now do u see how ****** u sound, u were the one making wrong assertions and same u was saying others were just complaining. If Enugu onitsha express road had been constructed according to u, which road is Mtn taking over to construct right now?
