The Niger state police command has arrested 60-year-old Haruna Lawal, for allegedly raping an eight-year-old girl in Wushishi community in the state. A statement from the spokesperson of the state police command, Wasiu Abiodun, says Haruna, a scavenger, saw the little girl while she was hawking fish in the area. He allegedly offered her a N100 note and then took her into an uncompleted building where he had canal knowledge of her.
