A former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to say the truth about defeat of the insurgent group, Boko Haram. Fani-Kayode said this in reaction to controversies surrounding missing girls from Government Girls’ Secondary School, Dapchi, in Yobe State. The girls were abducted when suspected Boko Haram insurgents attacked the school. Another report had it that other girls were rescued by the army on Wednesday night at Jilli-Muwarti, a border village between Gaidam in Yobe state and Borno State. Buhari has however ordered three ministers to visit Yobe to put an end to the security threats. However, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain has accused Buhari government of trying to cover up the kidnap case of the missing girls. He disclosed in a series of tweets that “There is only one thing more reprehensible than the kidnapping of 94 beautiful and innocent young girls from Govt. Girls Science and Tech. Secondry School, Dapchi, Yobe state by Boko Haram on Monday and that is the shameful attempt by the Buhari admin. to cover it up. “The school have confirmed that the girls have gone missing but the Fed. Govt. does not want the world to know the truth because it proves that they have failed to stop Boko Haram. “How cruel can Buhari be? These are just CHILDREN! Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture, has challenged the media to contextualise their reporting so that those who destroyed Nigeria will not be made to look like the country’s new saviours. The minister said this when the chief executive officer of TVC Communications, Mr. Andrew Hanlon, led a team of top officials of the company on a courtesy visit to the minister in his office in Abuja on Tuesday. ‘’We are on a rescue mission. However, the way a section of the media is reporting the challenges facing the country today does not reflect that understanding. They are making a corrective administration to look like the culprit, to give the impression that the rain started beating us in Nigeria only from 29 May 2015, to play down the challenges that this administration has faced and which it is successfully tackling. ‘’For example, we did not get to where we are today in just three years. It has taken successive decades of bad governance, unbridled corruption, lack of probity, a culture of impunity and a near state of anarchy. These are the ills this administration inherited and which it has set out to tackle. And this is what the media must reflect in their reporting,” he said. Alhaji Mohammed said but for the prudence, probity and the anti-corruption stance of this administration, the situation could have been worse, adding: “Instead of recession, we could have had a total collapse of the economy. The power grid could have collapsed altogether. Corruption could have overwhelmed the society. Boko Haram could have turned Abuja to Bama or Konduga. http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/02/those-who-destroyed-nigeria-now-posing.html

South East governors have been asked to mobilise funds for setting up cattle ranches for interested people in the region to do cattle business, instead of creating cattle colonies that will encourage frequent clashes between invading herdsmen from the North and the Igbos. The President of Association of Small and Medium Scale Industries Anambra State, ASAMSIAS, Chief Johnson Okolo, made the call, while addressing newsmen in his office in Onitsha, Anambra State. Chief Okolo, who also corroborated the call by the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Nnia Nwodo for the Igbos to reinvent their cattle farms, allegedly destroyed during the Nigerian civil war, urged South East governors to help the Igbos to go back to their cattle business, to create employment for the teaming youths in the zone. “Today, our people are no more going to farms because of the fear of the invading and marauding herdsmen who attack them in their farms. In my village, Afa in Enugu State, herdsmen raped a woman of about 90years and an AK 47 was recovered from them. “I believe the Nigerian civil war has ended, so Igbos should set up their cattle ranches again. Afterall, most Igbo men whose money were seized and later given stipend went back to business with the paltry sum that was released to them and today, they are doing well. Same way, they can re-establish their cattle ranches and be successful again.” http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/02/south-east-governors-should-invest-in.html

The Speaker of Ebonyi state House of Assembly, Francis Nwifuru Monday denied having a hand in the killing of a PDP chieftain in Agbaja ward, Izzi local Government Area of the state, one Mr Elias Nwankwegu. It was gathered that the deceased, late Elias was a brother to the former speaker of the state House of Assembly, Augustine Nwankwuegu whom Nwifuru stopped from being re-elected in 2011 general election even when as a speaker. Investigation revealed that since the defeat, the current speaker Nwifuru and former Nwankwagu have been having a running battle in the Constituency. Augustine Nwankwuegu had recently served the state as Attorney general/commissioner of Justice, before he was sacked by the state governor, David Umahi. Recall that Elias Nwankwegu popularly known as Okirika was at the weekend shot dead by suspected thugs allegedly loyal to the speaker Nwifuru during a political gathering at Nwofe Primary School, Agbaja in Izzi local Government Area of the state. The speaker who spoke to journalists in Abakaliki through his media aide, Mr Tony Nwizi denied the allegation and disossociated his boss from the killers who were alleged to be loyal to his faction of the PDP in the area. Nwizi said that the gathering was a ward meeting not a rally in support of the Speaker’s re-election bid come 2019 as claimed in some quarters. “What happened is that the party was supposed to hold a ward meeting there. The ward is not even Mr Speaker’s ward but the Current Attorney General Cletus Ofoke who is from the ward called Mr Speaker and begged him to attend”, he said. Nwizi further stated that Nwifuru decided to make a brief stop at the meeting on his way to Ikwo local government area for a burial before the incident happened. “So, it was not a rally in support of Mr. Speaker but ward meeting. If Mr Speaker wants to declare intention to re-contest, he will call a constituency meeting. Even if he wants to declare at ward meeting, he will have to do that at his own ward and that place is not his ward”, he added. He alleged that the victim was a staunch supporter of Mr Speaker and that the Speaker or any of his supporters had no reason to attack one of their allies in the ward. “Though victim is related to the former speaker, Mr Nwankwegu, he has always worked with Nwifuru’s camp”, he added. Meanwhile, Ebonyi state police command also said it has commenced full investigations into the killing of the said member of the People’s Democratic party, (PDP) Mr Elias Nwankwoagu. Spokesperson of the Command, Asp Loveth Odah confirmed that one suspect, Emmanuel Nwofe has been arrested by the Police in connection with the killing. The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Mortuary of Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki (FETHA 2) at the time of filling this report. Odah said “the suspect, Emmanuel, in his statement denied having a hand in the killing of Nwankwegu. “He is being accused of knowing the killers but he denied the allegation in his statement. He said he heard noises in the classroom and went there to find out what is happening. He said that some people there slapped him and kicked him to the ground and collected his phones.” “Then, shortly after that, he heard a gunshot and he took to his heels. He said he did not know his assailants as they were not from the area”, Odah said. The spokesman said the command had also decided to invite other persons at the event for questioning in a bid to find out what actually happened. She appealed to politicians in the area to always inform the Police before carrying out any rally so that the police can deploy officers to the area to ensure safety of lives and property. “When we are not informed, we may not deploy our officers to such event and that is when such things may happen. We were not officially informed of the event”, she added. Manwhile, security have been beefed up at the community by the Police as youths of the area threatened to go on rampage and burn down the houses of family members of the accused, Mr Emmanuel Nwofe. http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/02/ebonyi-assembly-speaker-denies.html

Senator Shehu Sani has said that avoidable doom awaited the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the 2019 polls should Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu fail to reconcile aggrieved members. Sani, a chieftain of the APC who represents Kaduna central in the Senate, stated this on Sunday in Abuja in an interview with newsmen. It was his own reaction to Tinubu´s recent appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari to lead the APC team of consultation, reconciliation and confidence-building. Tinubu’s assignment, among others, is to forge cohesion within the APC ahead of the 2019 general election. It involves resolving disagreements among party members and leaders. It also involves reconciling political office holders in some APC-controlled states and addressing crises in the party`s chapters in Kano, Kogi, Kaduna, Bauchi and other states. “It is going to be a tragedy if he fails. This is what I know and I can speak in parables,” said Sani who has not been in a good relationship with Governor Ahmad Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state. According to him, the Kaduna state governor has pocketed the party and wants to impose his will and unleash terror on members, by exploiting his proximity to the President. He said Tinubu´s appointment has halted, for now, the defection of most APC members to other political parties. Sani said it is no more news that the APC is faced with crises in some states where it holds sway, adding that the crises have defied solutions for over two years. The Senator noted that efforts made in the past have failed to address the multi-state crises. Sani while confirming that the Kaduna state chapter of the party is now having a parallel executive, said it was left for the Tinubu team to address the situation before it gets out of hand. “It is left for Asiwaju to build the bridges. Lagos is known for bridges; therefore we hope that there will be Seventh Mainland Bridge to connect the divide, but we are not sure of this. “Right now, the party is already divided in Kaduna and it is for the national secretariat to note this and we have said it in clear terms. “The problem has defied solution for two years, but we believe that Asiwaju can do a lot of reconciliation. “We hope that he will be able to achieve a lot because if he fails, it is going to be doom for the party. “In the process where reconciliation is taking place now, I think it is in our interest to put our ambitions in our pockets according to what Mr President said and wait for Asiwaju to address the problem,” he said. Sani advised the Tinubu reconciliation team not to take sides but to give equal treatment, especially as far as Kaduna state is concerned, in the interest of the party and its members. He expressed confidence that Tinubu´s appointment could most likely address the fundamental issues that were confronting the party at both the national and state level. The Senator, however, maintained that nobody could have solved the party´s many problems other than President Buhari through Tinubu. This according to him, was especially so because APC state governors, Senators and members of House of Representatives could not solve the problems because they were all parties to it. He added that even the party at the national level could not solve the problem because there had been disrespect and disregard for the party´s leadership in the last two years. Sani noted that the very fact that the APC had been inhibited with lack of funds and other challenges, made it impossible for it to bring to order the situation. While noting that the APC crisis started earlier, the Senator said addressing the situation would prevent more damages that could affect its fortunes in 2019. “It is of concern that a party that came to power with so much goodwill, and hope has found itself in a civil war with itself. “Right now, the APC is both the government and the opposition, because most of the criticism and opposition that is going on in the country is within the APC itself,” he said. Sani blamed the situation in the APC to lack of party supremacy and internal democracy which he said was evident in South Africa and Ethiopia as was recently displayed. “In Nigeria, there is no supremacy of the party because people holding position of executive power think that the party should be under them and not them being below the party. “Political parties in the Nigerian setting, seem to be parastatals of the state governments and that is totally unacceptable. There is also the syndrome of ‘the party is our own’. “If a clique of people believe that they founded the party and other people are strangers, then the recipe for crisis has been set,” he said. The Senator warned that if all party members are not treated equally and fairly, there would be problem. He recalled that the PDP was not destroyed from the outside, but from the inside, adding that it was the marginalised and oppressed elements within the party that became the final nail in its coffin. http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/02/2019-apc-is-doomed-if-tinubu-fails-to.html

Seven months after a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos ordered the Federal Government to release to Nigerians the list of public officials from whom public funds had been recovered, the list has yet to be released by the authorities. Justice Hadiza Shagari had on July 6, 2017, in her judgment in a suit filed by the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, directed the Federal Government to “immediately” release the names of the officials, the circumstances under which the funds were recovered and the exact amount recovered from each public official. While responding to the judgment, the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, had said the government would publish the names of the looters, in compliance with the court order, noting that the Federal Government totally agreed with the ruling. The Federal Government had on June 4, 2016, through the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, disclosed that it had recovered cash sums of N78,325,354,631.82, $185,119,584.61, £3,508,355.46 and €11,250 between May 29, 2015, and May 25, 2016. He added that the assets and cash seized under interim forfeiture totalled $9bn, N126bn, £2.4m and €303,399. And on October 12, 2017, the acting Chairman of EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, said at a forum that the cash recovered through the whistleblower policy had risen to over N30bn, in different foreign currencies. Meanwhile, the refusal to release the list or obey the court judgment was preceded by the promise voluntarily made in December 2015 by the President when he said he would unveil the names of the looters. He had said the only thing stopping the Central Bank of Nigeria from releasing the list at that time was to avoid jeopardising investigations and further recoveries. He also reiterated the promise in May 2016 at an anti-corruption summit in London that he would give a comprehensive report on the loot recovered on May 29, 2016 – Democracy Day, which he failed to do. And till date, the names of the looters have yet to be released. Speaking on the protracted delay, the Executive Director, SERAP, Adetokunbo Mumuni, said the refusal of the Buhari-led administration to make the list public, as directed by the court, had called into the question the much-touted integrity of the administration. He said, “Once you make a promise, you should fulfil it. They said they would fight corruption, judgement was obtained to help you to fight corruption, yet you are not obeying the court order, it questions your integrity and sincerity as a government. This government is not doing what it promised.” Also, the President of Campaign for Democracy, Mr. Bako Abdul Usman, described as unfortunate the way the present administration had been flouting court orders, saying even though the African Union made the President the model of anti-corruption fight in Africa, that “does not really hold water back home when looking at the nitty-gritty.” He added, “If that list is released today, people within the circle of the President would be part and parcel of it. That is why there is a constraint in releasing the list. Impunity, high-handedness and corrupt practices are easy to come by in this administration.” A legal practitioner and public affairs analyst, Liborous Oshoma, said a government that won an election on account of its promise to be transparent didn’t have to be compelled by the court to name and shame looters, stressing that the excuses it gave had already made it another round of propaganda. He noted that the reluctance to release the list could be because the government bloated the amount it recovered, making it difficult to put names to the figures. He explained that it would be an investment in uncertainty to expect the government to release the names before the next general elections because it might need the influence and monetary contribution of some of the looters. He added, “Do they (government) also need a legal paperwork to release the names of those that owned up voluntarily, not due to their conscience but because it was either obvious or government was closing in on them? To serve as deterrence to others, shouldn’t a transparent government release those names. “Now that elections are here, these (looters) are the same people they would go back to source money from. So, if anybody believes that the government would name and shame those looters before the election, the person must be joking, because some alleged criminals would even be embraced because of their money and influence, especially when you have desperation for a second term.” But when asked when the names would be released as he promised in July 2017, the AGF said a committee set up by the President was still auditing the list of the looters. In a text message he sent as a response to Saturday PUNCH’s inquiry, he said, “Audit work is in progress by a committee put in place by the President.” http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/02/seven-months-after-court-ordered-fg.html

Controversial Nigerian journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has paddled into the dispute caused by the killings reportedly carried out by Fulani herdsmen across the country. The journalist is against the fact that the Fulani herdsmen are dangerous compared to the IPOB group, saying that the Fulani herdsmen has done nothing wrong to be tagged a terrorist group, but rather it is because of the hate Nigerians have towards the president because he is of the Fulani tribe. She wrote, “To say Nigerian Fulanis are a violent group is an exaggeration. The Fulanis have been quietly grazing and herding the beef most of u gulp at your ‘owambe’ events. The root of the ongoing problem goes deeper than ethnicity. Fulani herdsmen are being targeted as terrorists because of one single reason. The president is from that ethnic tribe. If u don’t like Mr. Buhari, then vote him out instead of accusing him of not controlling a whole tribe. Can Osinbajo control all the Yoruba people? Stop castigating the Nigerian Fulani I will never be afraid of nobody in Nigeria. The IPOB boys were more dangerous looking for mayhem. Many were my errand boys at PHMax & told me Nnamdi Kanu even told them to Rape women and cause ethnic mayhem. Not all Igbos are IPOB.” Her post has been heavily criticized by fans claiming she is just looking for cheap publicity or favors from the president. She had earlier stated that she has desire to be in politics in the national level, well this could be a step to achieving that. http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/02/kemi-olunloyo-fulani-herdsmen-are-not.html

Itse Sagay, Chairman of the of the Presidential Advisory Committee against Corruption (PACAC), has dismissed calls that youths will perform better than older people if given the opportunity to become President of Nigeria. Sagaya warned that Nigeria may regret having a youth as president because they would be embarking on a dangerous journey if elected. Speaking with Daily Independent, on Monday, the PACAC chairman contended that there was no evidence backing the claim that youths were better than elders in leadership. According to Sagay, those thinking that youths would perform better in positions of authority in Nigeria were being shallow-minded. Sagay said, “Number one: it is shallow-thinking for anyone to think that if a youth becomes president, he will do better than the older one. “It is very shallow thinking because, as I see it, it is the youths of Nigeria today who believe in overnight wealth, who want billions overnight, who don’t want to work for their living and gradually build up their assets and business. “That psychology of overnight wealth is almost exclusively a youth attribute. “Number two: who is stopping the youths? All these people who are advocating that the youths should take over are in essence saying the older ones should just call the youths and say ‘come and take power. “If you want power, you work for it. You are not going to sit down in your sitting room and somebody will bring power to you. Let them join the fray.” http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/02/why-youths-cant-be-president-in-nigeria.html

With the hoax about Funke Akindele and Genevieve Nnaji appearing in Avenger: Infinity War behind us, Nigerians can now look forward to one of their own, Sope Aluko, appearing in a Marvel Studios movie. Unlike Funke and Genevieve who kept mum when the fake news that they had been cast as Dora Milaje went viral, Aluko has expressed her excitement about staring in one of 2018’s most anticipated movies, Black Panther. “For so long, I have seen Hollywood depict Africa in a way it shouldn’t be depicted. “(But in Black Panther) we are talking about a fictitious country that has a mineral resource that is sought after by westerners. “A rich country full of Kings and queens, these were all the elements of Africa that we don’t normally have in the narrative out there that we have in the script. “So, it was not only me but all the cast and crew excited to be part of it. We were like we are getting something and we wanted to make sure we honoured it correctly,” she said in an interview on Channels TV’s Sunrise. Black Panther, which is expected to release in Nigeria on February 16, 2018, boasts of a 90% black cast. Sope plays the role of Shaman, a powerful primal leader who calls upon nature spirits for aid or guidance. Married with two teenage boys, Sope was born in Nigeria but primarily raised in the UK. She started out with an undergraduate degree in engineering and a master’s degree in marketing. While in the UK, Sope attended drama classes at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA) and extended her study into dance. After a very successful career in the corporate space, the multi-linguist with proficiency in four languages returned to acting and performing. Since then, she has played recurring roles on Netflix’s Bloodline, NBC’s Law & Order SVU, with guest appearances on USA Network’s Burn Notice, Graceland Lifetime’s Army Wives, amongst others. Her film credits include supporting roles in Identity Thief, Pitch Perfect 2, 96 Minutes and Grass Stains, Black Panther also stars Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong’o, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker and Michael B. Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Digital and New Media, Tolu Ogunlesi, has spoken on the mystery snake which purportedly sneaked into the account office of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, in Makurdi, Benue State and swallowed N36m. MC EBISCO had reported that an account staff, Joan Asen and a lady outside JAMB allegedly connived to steal the money “spiritually” through a mysterious snake that always crawled into the office to swallow the money from the vault. Reacting to this development, Ogunlesi on his verified twitter page threw more light to the amount remitted by JAMB in the spate of 6years. According to him, 51million was remitted into federal government accounts between 2010-2016, yet 36m was found in an office. According to him, the report was as a result of auditing being carried out at JAMB state offices. He wrote “A sales clerk, Philomina Chieshe, told JAMB registrar and team that she could not account for N36m she made in previous years… Philomena confessed that it was her housemaid that connived with JAMB staff to “spiritually” steal the money from the vault in the accounts office. “Recall that this same JAMB remitted only about N51 million to Govt Accounts between 2010 and 2016. “In 2017, under new management appointed in 2016, it remitted N7.8 Billion. Now that new management is carrying out audits at State offices, and stories that touch are emerging.” http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/02/buharis-aide-speaks-on-claims-that.html

A Makurdi-based civil society group, #IstandWithOrtom, has demanded that the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Force Headquarters, Jimoh Moshood should apologise to Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom for describing the governor as a “drowning man.” Moshood had during a live programmed monitored on Channels TV, described Gov. Ortom as a ‘drowning man’ for his firm stand against open grazing in the state. Reacting to Jimoh’s comment, the group noted that the context in which the Police spokesman described the governor as a drowning man was an indication that the governor was not a man to be taken seriously. The group’s demand is coming on the heels of call by the Benue State Government that it has lost confidence in the ability of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Idris to carryout his functions without bias. In a statement signed by the Convener of the group, Iorliam Shija and made available to DAILY POST in Makurdi on Tuesday, the group said the remarks of the Force PPRO was “unprofessional and unfortunate.” He said, “The #IstandWithOrtom group has found the comments of the Police Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Moshood on Channels TV Morning Programme, Sun Rise Daily of Tuesday (yesterday), not only unprofessional but unfortunate. “The police officer amongst other unprintable names, regarded to the Executive Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom as a “drowning man. “We wish to condemn the police for such an ugly public show. As PPRO, Moshood is the face of the Nigerian police. So such public careless utterances, can further embolden the attackers of Benue to carryout more attacks against the state.” Shija stated that Governor Ortom had enacted a law that had the backing of the people, adding that “the comments of the PPRO was an indication that he has taken sides with the invaders of Benue state, ‘Myetti Allah. “With this kind of audacious behavior by a top cop, it is clear to us now that the police which is expected to be an unbiased agency at all times, has taken side with those who have invaded Benuevillages and are killing our men in their numbers.” According to him, “Our governor has enacted a very popular law, the Anti- Open Grazing Law and the people ofBenue State stand with him as he courageously ensures that the law is implemented. “The PPRO must know that on this law, irrespective of individual differences and interests, all Benue people are in support of our governor. “So we find it rather strange that Moshood could offer such comments at a time like this. We therefore call on him to retract those unfortunate words and write a letter of apology to the governor and the good people of Benue State.” http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/02/benue-killings-force-pro-jimoh-moshood.html

A Family Planning Consultant, Mrs Appolonia Eke, has warned against the use of sex dolls as alternative to family planning method. Eke said the use of sex doll was unscriptural, sodomy and should not be encouraged. The medical expert, who is also the Financial Secretary, Public Health Sustainable Advocacy Initiative (PHSAI), made this known on Thursday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). She said ”Sodomy is generally anal or MouthAction between people or sexual activity between a person and a non-human animal (bestiality), but it may also mean any non-procreative sexual activity. “Originally, the term sodomy, which is derived from the story of Sodom and Gomorrah in the Book of Genesis,[4] was commonly restricted to anal sex.” According to her, it was like having intercourse with an inanimate object which the scripture strongly objected to. Eke said, “The use of sex dolls as a means of family planning is sodomy and should not be encouraged. “It is like having an intercourse with a dead person or an inanimate object. “The scripture is very clear about sex and it forbids having it with either the dead or animals. “Aside that, there may be other consequences, including electrocution of the user, because sex doll is attached to electrical appliances for it to work. “The user may be electrocuted because it is powered by electricity and such thing should not be associated with family planning methods. “The best method to control childbirth is through family planning which Lagos State Government had made more affordable now. “The woman should be given adequate rest before the next conception because the womb needs rest. “It is like an apple shaped structure which is being scrapped on the surface. “The walls of the womb needs rest after childbirth, because it is enlarged after the childbirth and needed to contract after childbirth; frequent enlargements will not help the womb to heal.” “If this is not adhered to, it can lead to death and high maternal mortality rate we are talking about,’’ she said. http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/02/sex-dolls-medical-expert-reacts.html

Nigerian Nollywood veteran actor Richard Mofe Damijo mostly known as RMD has taken to instagram to educate and inspire the younger generation. The former Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Delta State has hinted that true love cannot be easily found on social media and that everyone should guide so as not to fall into the snare of people with the lies of ‘I love you.’ The GLO ambassador has a total of more than 1 million followers on instagram, and he uses this podium to share his intellectual and motivational speeches and thought. He never seizes to thrill his followers. In his recent post, RMD called out, if many would have celebrated him if he wasn’t who he is, if he wasn’t rich famous and good looking. He wrote; "If I wasn't the six foot and some more, successful, famous, somewhat good-looking RMD, will you still love me? If not for the level of fame I have achieved and the success tied to my brand will you still scream my name? If I was a middle-aged, gray bearded, emaciated applicant hoping to be your driver, will you give me a second look?" If I was a half literate Warri boy who said 'Nyam' instead of Yam, "Shorsh" instead of Church and "I chock" instead of "I was shocked", will you not mock and laugh at my speech? If I as RMD, fell on hard times, lost my fame and fortune, became helpless and hopeless, will you show any sympathy? I ask, not because I do not know the answers but so that he that has ears will hear and hopefully learn a thing or maybe, two. In your desire to be loved and accepted, it is important to ask ourselves how much of the love and admiration thrown at you are genuine. Know that many do not love you; they love the idea of you. It is the same people who sing your praises when you're up, that tear you apart when you stumble, and stomp on you when you fall. Don't let the number of followers you have, the likes and comments on your pictures or the hype fool you, one wrong move and the vultures will swoop down to feast. This is why I appreciate the love but stay super selective when it comes to letting people in. I keep my circle small, in fact, very small. I keep my private life, private and thank God for the grace to also keep my public life private. Don't put yourself out there and start crying foul when it blows up in your face and hey, STOP trying to sit with the cool kids, YOU•ARE•THE•COOL•KID!!!! Know this and elevate above the clique mentality. #RMDSaysSo #ElevateWithRMD” This is really the truth you only gain attention because of what you are achieving. http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/01/true-love-is-not-on-social-media-rmd.html

American rapper, Nasir Bin Olu Dara Jones, popularly known as NAS, has requested that Chocolate City’s case against him be dropped. The $1 million lawsuit filed against him by Nigerian rapper, M.I, claims that NAS did not give Chocolate City the verse for a song in 2013 after they paid $50,000 neither did he refund it. Jasmine Brand reports that NAS verse was meant to include the lines “M.I, Chocolate City, Nigeria, Queens, New York, Mandela, Trayvon Martin and the struggles of Africans and African Americans” for a song titled, Man.
