Business / Re: Western Union Discontinued At Gtbank Plc by 5sigma(m): 3:03pm On Oct 12, 2013
My take? I think we have bought another bag of tricks from these men who lead us. If they claim it reduces the pressure on the naira, I hope their estacodes will be paid in naira too. If they want to stop fraud, then set up proper accountability measures. I think we chase a lot of shadows in this country. We leave the main substance. With a trade deficit so high and your crude output so unreliable, how do you defend your currency? Through Western union? Don't make me laugh!

Romance / Re: Ladies, Have You Ever Asked A Guy Out ? by 5sigma(m): 7:43pm On Aug 10, 2013
Feed me more: Yes, i did ask someone (a Nairalander)out, cuz i thought he was intelligent, witty and funny, it's not like i asked him out anyway, but i kinda initiated a contact between us, but alas i was disappointed, cuz he was damn too should i say timid or lemme just put it this way, he was lacking in confidence.
That you on your dp? Why won't he be timid? Those hips gonna subdue even the bravest of men! Anyway, there are two sides to a story. Wait till he tells his of how what he saw on your dp was not what he got in reality tongue
Romance / Re: My Flatmate Brings Random Guys To Our Shared Apartment by 5sigma(m): 1:37am On Aug 07, 2013
Feel your pain. Flatmates from hell can be a thorn. I guess you didn't really know her before shacking up with her. Sometimes though you think you know someone until you move in with them. Had this flatmate back in uni whose relatives kept stealing from me.so I kinda understand you. Anyway my suggestion is that you ensure your own security. Not trying to scare you but you must keep your doors locked and your phones within easy reach. Don't think you should involve your landlord. To what end? May cause more gbese for both o'ya.hope it all works out for you. Let me know how it goes?
Travel / Re: Pictures Of The Remodelled Enugu International Airport. by 5sigma(m): 11:25pm On Jul 31, 2013
White-washed graves. I don't mean to be rude but with the amount of money claimed to have been spent, we deserve a lot more. The baggage carousels are still as bad, the roads to the airport in bad shape, air fares still exhorbitant... I don't think the real issues have been addressed. Anyone can paint the airport and install fancy glass and airconditioners. The real issues facing aviation are yet to be tackled. Enuf said!

lorretta u: grin I stumbled accross this picture and I was like dayum!some sisters are really beginning to go extreme.haha.
Why would a lady go this far just to attract men.and what happens when he finds out it's fake huh?
Anyway most of the blame goes to the male folks who won't stop oohing and ahhing over a lady with big backside.
What y'all expect a sister to do when her friends are getting all the attention and she just stands there looking like a lost chicken.
One word 'IMPROVISE'

And this is the new improvisation.so y'all better be careful.not all that glitters...
Wait gimme another minute to laugh.
Hahahahahaha cheesy cheesy grin
As for me,I'd rather have normal natural flat behind than go with this fako.
So you have not done anything to impress d male folk eh? Fixed weavon, human hair, padded bras, nail varnish? Infact d kinda packaging girls do these days baffles me! Caveat Emptor guys! BTW do you have a flat behind?

Politics / Amaechi Vs GEJ: Season 2- NGF Split! by 5sigma(m): 2:43pm On May 25, 2013
Still struggling to come to terms with the reality of the defeat of their candidate by Governor Rotimi Amaechi, aggrieved governors yesterday distanced themselves from his victory, claiming that he ceased to be their leader on Friday when his tenure ended.

The splinter NGF, led by Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom and chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, presented Governor Jonah Jang as the new Chairman of the NGF.

They also announced plans to set up a different secretariat for their meetings so as to disconnect from the Rivers State Governor’s Lodge, which had been serving as their meeting point in the past two years.

Eighteen governors, who are sympathetic to President Jonathan and his anointed candidate, Jang, converged on the Benue State Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro and tried to discredit the electoral process that threw up Amaechi.
The governors who are opposed to Amaechi’s victory are: Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom, Jonah Jang of Plateau, Idris Wada of Kogi, Gabriel Suswam of Benue, Sullevan Chime of Enugu, Martin Elechi of Ebonyi, Theodore Orji of Abia, Peter Obi of Anambra and Isa Yuguda of Bauchi.

others are: Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo, Ibrahim Shema of Katsina, Mukhtar Yero of Kaduna, Garba Umar of Taraba,  Ahmed Abdulfatah of Kwara, Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State, Liyel Imoke of Cross River, Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa and Gombe Deputy Governor, Thaanod Rubainu.

The governors, who met behind closed doors for about two hours, later issued a communique, saying that they stood by the endorsement of 19 governors, who had earlier pledged their support for the candidature of the consensus candidate to be chosen by them and not Amaechi.

Governor Mimiko, who described himself as the Vice Chairman of the Jang-led NGF, read the six-paragraph communique issued and jointly endorsed by the faction.

“The Nigeria Governors’ Forum, under the new leadership of Governor Jonah Jang, as Chairman and Governor Olusegun Mimiko as the Vice Chairman, at the inaugural meeting held today, Saturday, May 25, 2013, resolved as follows:
“The new chairman of the NGF thanks Northern Governors’ Forum, the PDP Governors’ Forum and all the governors for the support and confidence reposed in him and vowed to work for the interest of the forum and country.
“The chairman of the NGF Governor Jonah Jang vows to unite members of the forum, work for the interest of the forum and the country.

“The forum re-states its commitment to continue being a platform for peer review, productive and collaborative engagement with all levels of government.
“The forum also resolves to continue to encourage and collaborate with Mr. President to restore peace and security in the country.

Romance / If You Are Single, Read This. (A Mother's Letter) by 5sigma(m): 12:42am On May 04, 2013
****MOTHER'S LETTER TO HER CHILDREN ABOUT MARRIAGE (worth reading - SHARE THIS MESSAGE)

TO MY GIRLS:
Marry a man whose first pursuit is Christ. After that, he is not hard to please. Admire him, cheer him on and show gratitude, and he will fall over himself trying to please you. Smile often, speak well of him always, and do whatever necessary to try and maintain a pleasant mood about you so that it transfers to your home, making it a place where he and your children love to be.
You’ll have bad days of course, crying days even, and that’s when you go to your bedroom, kneel on the floor and beg the Lord to carry you. Then get up, get a fresh perspective (crayons will come off the wall), and try again. Above all else, make a home.
TO MY BOYS:
Marry a woman whose first pursuit is Christ. After that, she may be hard to please only if you don’t know “the secret”. What is that? I’m glad you asked. The secret to pleasing your wife is to make her feel safe and treasured. You may have to move out of your comfort zone to do this at times. She won’t always readily translate the oil change to love, though it means that. But let me give you a “secret question”–a question you need to ask her often. It’s not just in the asking, though. Be sure to focus your eyes on hers, may be even touch her shoulder or face, and then ask: “What’s on your mind these days? “ And then be ready to listen. She wants you to draw her out. She will perceive this as your protection over the matters of her heart. Tenderness, listening, protection. That’s what she wants.
TO YOU ALL:
If your wife or husband does something really stupid, forgive. If they do it again, forgive again. Forgiveness must be the propelling force in your lives each day. Dwell on the strengths, push out thoughts of their weaknesses. Take every thought captive–choose to love.
Here’s that part you are not going to hear often:
If you find yourself “not happy”, having lost attraction, disinterested, etc., you are not permitted to even think about a divorce. If you find yourselves arguing more and more, don’t think for a minute that “the children will be better off out of this”, because they won’t.
The vows you took on your wedding day were not suggestions. They were covenant vows, before a Holy God, family and friends, to stay with this person the rest of your life, even if you don’t feel like it. You swore a solemn oath and if you can’t live up to it, don’t get married. Decide up front that your marriage is irrevocable. There is far more motivation for getting along if your “marriage house” has no door.
Do not share intimate thoughts or feelings with anyone of the opposite sex.Do not find yourself alone for any length of time with such either.
Divorce is not a “private option”. It will affect multiple families for many generations. When you “separate what God has joined” you permanently injure far more than just yourself.
Guard your marriage as fiercely as you would guard your own life. Treat your spouse as an extension of your flesh, just as God sees you. Treat your spouse like other family members. You know, “you gotta love ‘em, they’re the only family you’ve got”.
I want you to be happy, I surely do. But I will pray for you to be holy.
Proverbs 19:14 - "Houses and wealth are inherited from parents, but a prudent wife is from the LORD."
Proverbs 20:6-7 - "Many a man claims to have unfailing love, but a faithful man who can find? The righteous man leads a blameless life; blessed are his children after him."
God bless you saints...

The doctor is the leader of the health team. No matter how long an air hostess has been flying, she cannot become the pilot. The other health workers should go and write JAMB, obtain admission to study medicine and then become suitable candidates. Thing is,no matter how long the wind blows the mountain can never bow.enuf said!

Foreign Affairs / The Iron Lady's Quotes. by 5sigma(m): 8:01am On Apr 09, 2013
Margaret Thatcher's words on marble!
1) Being powerful is like being a lady. If you have to tell people you are, you aren’t.
2) If you want something said, ask a man; if you want something done, ask a woman.

3) I am extraordinarily patient, provided I get my own way in the end.
4) To wear your heart on your sleeve isn’t a very good plan; you should wear it inside, where it functions best.

5) It is not the creation of wealth that is wrong, but the love of money for its own sake.
6) To cure the British disease with socialism was like trying to cure leukaemia with leeches.
7) I’ve got a woman’s ability to stick to a job and get on with it when everyone else walks off and leaves it.

cool To me, consensus seems to be the process of abandoning all beliefs, principles, values and policies. So it is something in which no one believes and to which no one objects.
9) I always cheer up immensely if an attack is particularly wounding because I think, well, if they attack one personally, it means they have not a single political argument left.

10) There is no such thing as Society. There are individual men and women, and there are families.
11) If my critics saw me walking over the Thames they would say it was because I couldn’t swim.

12) Standing in the middle of the road is very dangerous; you get knocked down by the traffic from both sides.

13) We want a society where people are free to make choices, to make mistakes, to be generous and compassionate. This is what we mean by a moral society; not a society where the state is responsible for everything, and no one is responsible for the state.
14) You need quite good shock absorbers and a sense of humour to be the Prime Minister’s child.

15) “I don’t mind how much my Ministers talk, as long as they do what I say.”

I think the first one's my favourite!
