Those thinking Hushpuppi will get 20 years in jail will be shocked. Corruption is everywhere, just worse in Africa

Maybe you need to read the article again. The FBI have the power to refile the case once it gets more evidence.

"However, when it is dismissed without prejudice, like in the case of Mr Ponle, the dismissal is temporary as the prosecutor can refile the case within a certain period of time."

Obviously a temporary dismissal, to finish up collating the evidences to nail him finally. Once FBI put their teeth on you, they never let go until you are down, even if it takes 100years

Na wah ooo. Have you asked yourself what you stand to gain from this? Courts don't operate on what we think or see but on beyond doubt staggering evidence!

Sound more to me like Mr Ponle had turned state witness. He has a plea deal most likely. His case would be refiled with lesser charges

xactly you are right - I dont think their target was Mr Woodberry -they came for hushpuppi so they found Woodberry there- by the time they finish their case files built up for Woodberry - he is a gonna! grin

You are right. FBI has not finished their investigation. They were only pushed by several petitions received from several groups in Nigeria. These groups have their leaders mainly from a geographical location in Nigeria. They are not after crime, but hatred and envy. This is just like a letter written to Mac Arthur Foundation by Reno Omokri against Sowore because Sahara Reporters got over one million dollars grant.

I can see so many people jumping into Lagoon at the end of this case.

If this can happen in a sane country as we regularly say, what do we expect from a country like Nigeria where we can buy justice.

Bros chill. It's not done yet.

I will personally be disappointed if they let them go without a proper punishment.

It will encourage others to continue such practice especially here in naija.

Anyone who commits crime should be punished appropriately to deter others.....

They probably need to get their facts right.

Those Nigerians who wrote petitions against them will eventually jumped into Lagoon.

Not a matter of corruption, yankee law has protocol.

Most likely, he has struck a deal with the prosecution to become a witness against Hushpuppy!

So their letting a criminal get away easily. Ok.

Try to read and understand...he is not going anywhere. They want to buy time to package an air tight case against him that he cant wriggle out of..they wont release him.

Rappers call his type a snitch. Snitching is very common among inmates in America. That's how they nail targeted big time criminals. TI was once accused of snitching in exchange for lighter sentence
