Dumbos from West, states IGR figures are release by state governors, some governors doesn't disclose true state of their internally generated revenue, that's fact IGR doesn't measure economy, it's just revenue generated by states, some states tax high or low, there's no uniform system in collection of revenue from business operators in all the states, state like Anambra were business are driven by by indigenous, majority of the companies are owned by indigenous, same in services, trade unlike west were majority of the companies are owned by foreigners and non Yoruba, in Lagos major markets are controlled by Igbos, your governors don't look back in taxing them, I served in west, started my business in Lagos before I relocated my business to Anambra in first quarter of 2016, I know what we were going through in hands of Lagos state tax collectors, in Anambra there are union in every business areas, if state serve business permit or signage tax for example #5000 for small business, the union will hold meeting and agree on what they can pay and send some delegates to negotiate with the state government, we might end up paying #1500 or #2000 each such can't happen in Lagos or any southwest states, during recession Anambra cut tax to large businesses and suspend to small businesses, it didn't happen any where in your region, if during that period many states were in bankrupt including all states in west expect Lagos, Anambra, Kano, Rivers, Akwa-Ibom and other states, You claimed your states generate huge IGR but they borrow to pay workers, serious I don't see any sense in IGR noise, Anambra with low IGR is lowest in debt doing more projects without borrowing, Anambra is currently building international Cargo Airport awarded the contract to four foreign construction firms Craneburg Germany , China railway construction company , IDC Lebanon , Niger Cat and KANUBEEN Arab, they are working day and night to deliver the project by next year and other massive projects Awka international conference center with 10,000 capacity, Awka millennium city project, new dual carriage from Enugu/Onitsha expressway to the Airport, building 29 bridges and many roads still ranked low in debt, so what's the noise over IGR when your governors borrow to pay workers salaries
