THE WAY FORWARD

The demand for DATA DRIVEN TECHNOLOGY has soared high, especially during this pandemic. Facebook launched a survey asking users, their health status, whether they had symptoms of corona virus like cough and fever. Data gotten from this survey, was used to analyze the spread of coronavirus, help researchers in the development of corona virus vaccines and the impact it had on the economy.

It has also helped in developing contact tracing app, where a user would be alerted on any person he has come in contact with that has Corona virus.

NASA invited a group of coders and scientists to use data gotten from its earth observation, to develop solutions to corona virus issues.

The study of data Science and its application in programming is very vital in developing softwares that will bring solutions in the health sector, business circle, aviation sector, meteorologists, e.t.c.

The study of data Science and its positive impact on the economy cannot be quantified.

The knowledge of Algebra can be used to predict the net revenue of a company, the knowledge of ALGEBRA is one of the pre-requisite to be a good DATA SCIENTIST.

The net revenue of Harley-Davidson, Inc. was $5.02 billion in 2004 and $5.34
billion in 2005. Using only this information, write a linear equation that models
the net revenue in terms of the year. Then predict the net revenue for 2006.

SOLUTION

let t = 4 represent 2004
Then the two given values are represented by the data
points (4, 5.02) and (5, 5.34) The slope of the line through these points is

m = 5.34 - 5 02 / 5 - 4

m = 0.32
Using the point-slope form, you can find the equation that relates the net revenue y and the year t to be


y - y1 = m(t - t1)

y - 5.34 = 0.32(t - 5)

y - 5.34 = 0.32t - 1.6

y = 0.32t + 3.74

Using this equation, a prediction of the net revenue in 2006 (t = 6) is

y = 0.32(6) + 3.74 = $5.66 billion.

Mathematics is very easy when you have a good instructor and materials for learning. The world is changing and the demand for data scientist is high. With the knowledge you can affect change in every sector of the economy.

Problem Solvers rule the word. They are the ones ruling. The likes of Elon musk, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Jack Dorsey ........

In our study of data Science. The only pre-requisite to learn data Science is ALGEBRA. Algebra is a branch of mathematics used to solve real life problem. If you need a quick refresher, will teach it in our group as we start this week.

Chinese govt are funding startups venturing into electric car production. My prayers from day one is for Nigeria oil to become more useless day by day, so that creative people should be the only people to survive in this country. My prayers are already working . Things have to be worst, for things to become better.

The only thing that will save Nigeria is research and innovation.

GOOGLE ANALYTICS makes use of users data . Google analytics is a software owned by google, it helps to monitor the activities that goes on in a website. It keeps record of ACTIVE USERS, SESSION, BOUNCE RATE, TRAFFIC CHANNEL and so on.........

This datas help website owners actually know what is going in their website and how to improve it.

Let's say for example you have a BOUNCE RATE of 60% from the data gotten from your google analytics about your website. Bounce rate is what happens when a user visit your website. When a user visit your website without visiting any other pages, this shows that your website may have a poor loading speed: What you have to do in this scenario is to check for the sizes of the images in your website, if they are too large, you can compress it with free online tools without affecting the quality of the image.

- You can also compress the size of your HTML files, CSS files and JavaScript files if they are large.

- Do not upload video directly in your website, it will increase the amount of data users have to download to access your website. Consider using a video sharing platform like youtube to upload your video, then embed it or link it to your website.



Another factors that can lead to BOUNCE RATE is lots of animations. Animations are distracting for some users, if you want animated content in your website, use it moderately.
