Over AL, you can't fight government and its agencies.. Both parties should reach amicable settlements before bad elements starts cashing in on the matter because na sorry for small busses on kaduna-abuja express ooo.... Better still the traders can use the train

Their stubbornness is affecting their business and their customers.

Well, when they are tired of losing money.
They will comply at the end.

Exactly the same thing happening here.

where are the conspiracy theorist on nairaland. come forward the rest ffuuuck off.

I know it is not easy to just shift overnight from a well known place and start over somewhere,

go to gwagwalada at night and see luxury bus business first hand, logistics is what brings money not these passengers, how many aboki dey enter passenger vehicle

a mallam will rather hitch a ride with cows in trailer, borno express is almost bankrupt because passenger no dey, except during sallah.

these igbo men Hussle, they logistics business require a central location, expecially in a religions war zone like Kano, the Muslim live together and Christian's live far, but when you move a triving business to a war zone customer will run
.

This one nonsensical statements dey compete with that of men here

Why did the OP use picture of a luxury bus in an accident scene for this story showing the name of the bus operator?
The reality is that Kano state wants to develop a new urban area which can be achieved with the relocation of Southerners especially Igbos moving their businesses there.
On the Govt part they should be ready to make the new bus park area conducive in terms of accessibility and facilities.
I have to commend the Kano state for getting a Court injunction instead of using Hisbah police to forcefully eject the bus operators and creating a crisis

Things don’t work that way, shebi in Lagos computer village was asked to relocate ?
Have they?

Sabon gari, is a place where igbos and southerner coverage for safety ist. Just like amuwo odofin or Festac in Lagos .

You can’t separte the business from the market

U think to move a bus park is same as looking for a shop ? , if landlord give u common notice now , u be running up and down , do u think it's easy to get a bus park ? And u know they need stay together to attract travellers

If government wan relocate them , the government should help provide them a good space and location too

You indirectly want igbos to relocate from sabon gari? lol. Na their zone be that. Kano has extremism issues so it wouldn't be seen as a welcome development. They're safer in sabon gari. This is a big issue

Telling them to Relocate to ugwa uku....was land provided for them to Relocate or would the expense be bore by the State government.....sabon Gari is a developed area ...the park is in central of the town...I perceive the Government want to make used of that big expanse of land used by the park for his own gain...possibly to build a shopping mall or a big plaza..the park being in Sabon gari doesn't affect the State Government of Kano state...I lived in Kano for 2yrs, I have used both park (Luxury bus and Ugwa Uku).

How can u want to relocate the bus park from the source of their business? Why do our leaders take pleasure in just frustrating Nigerians at any possible opportunity just becos they find themselves in power? Some people here talking rubbish just becos of their hate for a particular ethnic group dont even understand why it doesnt even make sense to even think of moving the park from the southern dominated area of the state where they operate comfortably for major reasons like security becos i know Kano state for their evil volatility very well.. Also, the bulk of their customers (85% or more) comes from the area too, so why would the Kano state government of all other problems they should be facing, just wake up one morning and order for the bus park to be moved to an area far away from the source of their customers? Don't these buses pay taxes? So what is their motive for such an action, if not that this is a politically motivated attack on the thriving business of a particular people.. In an event of a riot which usually starts without any provovation, they will find those luxurious buses easy targets and then what happens? Will the Kano state government pay for the damages and potential loss of lives? Lets keep pretending to ourselves like we've ever loved ourselves instead of tellings ourselves the bitter truth and doing the right thing by splitting this god-forsaken country..

If everyone here (Nairaland) can post a senseable and none bias comment like this, this forum would have been a better place for us all to communicate
