Yes, and I can tell you that in my day we used insecticides. Cover the face and spray. Works

But the problem is there is a risk of kerosene and insecticides poisoning, to say nothing of damage to the hair, and scalp.

Better to use medicated shampoo, petroleum jelly, eucalyptus oil etc. Or see a doctor or better still a pediatrician or dermatologist or pediatric dermatologist
