In 1998, Yoruba was at the verge of declaring Oduduwa Republic if Yoruba was not made President of Nigeria.

That was shortly after Bola Tinubu made the famous declaration that he did not believe in one Nigeria.

Ok.

Is actually laughable when I hear people say is Igbo turn to be president, who is the Igbo? Igbo I know is a tribe. So who is the Igbo that has the capacity and capability to be president 2023?

I have not seen anyone. There are certain things you must have before you talk about being a president in Nigeria
1, relationship with other regions
2, political platform
3, financial structure
4, track record of achievement
5, grassroots involvement in every LGA in NIGERIA
6, must have less political enemies
Finally, not looting record.

This is for the person and his region perception of NIGERIA matters a lot, igbos within the voting strength don't believe in NIGERIA dream making it difficult for other regions to support Igbo man as president. Ameachi stand a chance than any Igbo man when it comes to Nigeria president 2023

No be mouth, 2023 will decide whether Nigeria will become historical reference for other countries to learn from. The same way we learnt about the Yugoslavian, Czechslovakia and Ethiopia, Sudan division is the same way the likes of Ghana, Senegal etc will learn about the former Federal Republic of Nigeria. At least as a reference point on how not be a useless entity. How not to be a sitting duck while division stares you at the face.

I won't say never.

But no one is in a haste to vote Igbo.

Their actions since 2015 shows how much deep-seated hatred and intolerance they have for other tribes and religions.

One would have understood if it was just a section of their people, but what was most surprising was not even the high and venerated chose to call to order those that chose the paths of division and rancour.

I said on another thread that no one would vote Igbo come 2023 and voila, little by little we are seeing the signs.

What they have done is sacrilegious and even if forgivable, they must serve their punishment.

Only when crude oil dries up in the Niger Delta, that’s when you will be in a haste to vote Igbo as president of Nigeria.

See your intelligence by half.

When igboman build bridge the respond that the igboman have not done enough to show that they want to rule.
When igboman agitates the independence they respond that igboman is declaring war on the country.
When they igboman succeed in a particular area of business, they respond that Igbo want to dominate everybody.

My question is what do they actually want from the igboman.

Ndigbo must contest for the Presidency. It’s better to contest, pull strings and lose than accept the most useless VP position. I’ll definately campaign against the PDP if anything short of the Presidency is alloted to us. As a matter of fact, the burial of the PDP would begin in 2023 starting from Igboland if an Igbo is not on the Presidential ballot.

Let the lovers of Ndigbo begin to form a party that is solely pro-Igbo. This is what the clowns in IPOB failed to do and Ndigbo must make sure a new party that would sweep the whole of Igboland is formed.

Igbos must get it right in 2023, whether the APC or PDP give us the slot, we must get it right.

Stop talking nonsense.
As far back as 1960s, Ahmadu Bello was already making videos where he demonized Ndiigbo.
The entire Northern assembly had a plenary session where the agenda was to demonize and legalize hostility towards Ndiigbo.

Akintola had already made his "Yoruba Ronu" speech where Ndiigbo were again demonized as early as the 1960s.
In all these, you can not for once find a tape where Ndiigbo made speeches demonizing others, instead we focused on how to elevate our selves. Perhaps this was the mistake of our forebearers.

Nnamdi Kanu have not said to other Nigerians what they have not said about Ndiigbo 50yrs before.
And even Nnamdi Kanu doesn't spare Ndiigbo in his criticism or use of harsh words.

Nigeria is a failed cursed state. Igbo presidency will do nothing for Ndiigbo other than earn bragging rights, seeing as it has not lifted Yorubaland or Arewa from trenches of Third World status.
Don't kill yourself over Igbo presidency. The orientation of Igbo nationalists like myself is that Igbo presidency if it comes is well welcomed since it would piss so many Igbophobes off, and if it doesn't come, would also be a win, since it would prove Igbo One Nigerianists stupid and swell the ranks of Igbos who want no part in Nigeria.

The Igbo will always choose Biafra over Nigeria, and should Igbo presidency of Nigeria not emerge, the more Biafra as a viable alternative becomes marketable among Igbo elites spread around the globe.

No shaking, it's either we win, or we win.

Its either we win or we win. I have always known this. Let's keep our fingers crossed and see what tomorrow will bring.

Because Ekwueme is late now, he was good. When he assembled the PDP and wanted to contest for the Presidency, you all conspired against him. This is why the Igbo are nonchalant. Abiola shared Rams and cows, what did Buhari share? I don't know why they want to define the Igbo in a particular way. No other tribe will go through what the Igbo passed through and still be relevant today.

Their people have been ruling but look how terrible their situation is - as if it is even a curse for the President to come from your zone.

The clamour for the Igbo President should be seen as a positive one because that's the only option left if Nigeria desires progress.

The other tribes have tried and failed. Allow the Igbo to try - or, since Nigeria appears not to like progress, chase the Igbo out of Nigeria.

I'm not Igbo, but I will vote for any candidate from there for personal reasons.
They always have a fondness of me that I find touching.
But whether the igbos themselves will support the person is the issue.
They hardly agree with themselves on any matter.
They have the numbers, wealth, reach and influence but aren't utilizing it properly.

The above is exactly what I keep saying to people from the East clamoring and claiming to be marginalised politically... How united are you people??! This remains the fundamental question!!!

A house divided against itself can not and will never stand, not to speak of succeeding.

Even the Biafra they claim to be agitating for, they are quite terribly divided on the matter!!! It's just pitiable!!!

That said... Nigeria will never move forward if we keep electing leaders based on popularity and ethnicity, instead of proven merit!!!

Nigeria rotates its presidency between north and south due to the skewed political structure of 36 states and Abuja, with 19 states and Abuja in the north.
No Yoruba or Igbo can win presidential election unless north agrees to the Yoruba or Igbo person to win.

It’s not democracy in Nigeria.

It’s usually a President emerging after political gangs have pointed to one candidate who must win.
