And some people were blaming Fashola for power woes in this country

What they failed to realised that when he made that statement of providing electricity not being rocket science, the whole PHCN was still under the government but GEJ came in and sold it to friends and cronies.

Now it is obvious that the sold Discos are the real problem we have.

Very good, at least if the government finally gets sense we will be able to improve it ourselves, sometimes privatisation is not the answer. Waiting for those capitalists to come and wail.

Its better....make everyone go buy solar!

How many Nigerians can afford solar? Both the discos and government(especially Jonathan's) are not truthful. Either government take over or not, let there be prepaid meters readily available for Nigerians.

Why is it that Nigerian oganisations don't like the word "audit"? Why are they anti - transparency and accountability?

If you believe that the Discos will just hand over their prized assets without a fight, you can as well believe that PDP can defeat Tinubu and take over Lagos State. The Discos are a mega money spinner for those corrupt and ineffective criminals that PDP sold them to.

This is a brilliant idea. Let the bank collect payment. I believe Their Shenanigans will stop once bankstake over payment from the Disco's. Interest of the nation should be put first before profit

Discos Fuji or Hip-pop or whatever they call themselves are criminals.

They are the thieves making a fortune at the end of the production chain and sabotaging the efforts of others in the electricity production chain.
Who sold it to them?

Thieving DISCOS sabotaging Nigeria electricity since forever ...They don't want to be audited because their lies of running at a loss will be exposed ..

What are you talking about?

Government sets the tariff, and the tariff is not cost reflective, hence the recent increment.

Can you imagine being in a business where your selling price is set by the government even when the price does not reflect the true cost of the commodity?

The capital and operational expenditure ceilings are also set by government.

Government does not invest anything in relation to its 40% stake in the business

In fact, the idea that the industry is privatized is a scam because it's more regulated than any other industry in Nigeria.

There's no disco that's breaking even, talk more of making profit.
