A good step.

But, they also have to privatise NNPC , allow marketers to set the price.of fuel,.and depot owners, and allow the transporters too to set their prices

Or the privatisation won't take
Marketers should read importers.
It's producers or suppliers that should set prices not middlemen. Even in the telecoms you so proudly tout, that's how it is. Fixing of prices by marketers has possibility of leading to hoarding and artificial scarcity.

Thank God for this submission, the government is so wary of the civil servants or the workers in the refineries. Taking what happened to NITEL as an example, it was Nigerians working there with other salient factors that contribute to the fall of NITEL. As the citizenry is not trusting the govt, so also the government are wary of saboteurs who called themselves common men.
Nigeria problems are very sophisticated

I knew I would see useless and ignorant comments like this. Atiku wanted to sell NNPC. This government is considering selling stakee/ privatizing refineries.

Do they sound same to you.

How can you surrender your main agency for generating revenue to the private sector.

It this ignorance or just to make agenda agend.
ARAMCo of Saudi is not wholly owned by the government there. I suppose you're smarter than them
Same with Petrobas of Venezuela.
Go back and listen to what Atiku said. He was talking about majority stake too.

Generating what revenue? Nonsense.

They are all hanging on with their finger tips making deceptive promises of repentance at the stocks when they know the peons are enraged and ready to lynch them.

That citadel of corruption called NNPC should be burnt to the ground and the ashes sold for a penny. They are absolutely worthless. They have done nothing foir Nigeria and caused nothing for Nigeria except pain and regret.
Nigerian politicians are good for people like you, NEPA privatised yet nothing.

Stop bringing technicality here. Your government is fumbling and wobbling.
Oga they are two different things.
NNPC as a whole and refineries on the other hand.

Refineries are at the downstream, hope you understand that

And the same APC criticised Atiku when he said he will sell them. They also rejected the PDP government policy of removal of fuel subsidy, and have gone to implement it.

Privatize it. No need of rehabilitating anything, it's another mode of looting in NNPC.
Meanwhile, those thieves (NNPC staffs) won't like this

Yes. We can't trust Atiku's privatization, so we castigated him. WE ALL STILL REMEMBER HOW GOVERNMENT ASSETS WERE SOLD OUT UNDER HIS CHAIRMANSHIP(PRIVATIZATION) AS VICE PRESIDENT

Best solution to stop the unending wastage on refinery ..what they have wasted is enough to build multiple refineries in the nation..privatise it and the nonsense will stop
