2014 national confab failed because from the onset National Assembly who makes and amend National Laws rejected it, and Jonathan can't make laws as we are not in military regime

Components of restructuring is very simple

*Devolution of power: exclusive and concurrent list must be reviewed in the Constitution giving state more responsibility like police, solid minerals, and many more, only the National Assembly can legislate on that

SHUT UP!

YOU CLAIM TO BE KNOWLEDGEABLE BUT YOU SUPPORT AN INCOMPETENT AND BACKWARD ADMINISTRATION AS THIS. THAT'S AN IRONY

Do not be deceived. Below is the reason why El Rufai is shouting restructuring now. He wants to contest 2023 presidential election to replace his godfather in office.

He is a deceit, a fraud, don't ĺisten to him.

2023 Presidency: Groups in 21 states root for El-Rufai

…Threaten court action until he agrees to contest
By Ibrahim HassanWuyo
The Nassiriya Organization in 21 states of the federation has vowed to leave no stone unturned in its resolve to drag the Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasiru Ahmad El- Rufa’i into the 2023 presidential race.

Speaking to journalists in Kaduna, the National Leader of the Nassiriya Movement and Zonal Vice Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in the Northwest, Dr. Garkuwa Ibrahim Babuga, said already preparations were on top gear to drag El- Rufa’i to court over his insistence on not interested to contest for the presidency in 2023.

Babuga said they had no option than to approach the court because they had spoken to the governor on the issue but he had declined their request.

“We are ready to go up to the Supreme Court,” he said.

“We also met his parents and relations but we’ve not gotten a successful answer. We have to go to court. Nigeria is for El-Rufa’i in 2023. El-Rufa’i is fit to be President based on his track records of achievements.

What kind of restructuring framework is ElRufai advocating.I hope it is the one that is similar to 1966?

El Rufai gave a wonderful restructuring idea with his fellow Governors in 2018 but what many still fail to understand is that only the National Assembly can restructure our constitution

No President can do it, no Governor has powers to do it

.
That's what I have been telling people.
Surprisingly the bill to restructure has been rejected twice in it's first reading in the house yet,no voice out or protest from Nigerians against the rejection of that bill because we don't pay attention to NASS functions...
Even if it passes first reading,Two-third majority seals factor is still a major problem against it's actualization

Come back next 10 years and he'll still be saying it time to restructure.

It seems many people don't know how lazy this Nigeria kinda central government has made many governors.

I repeat,Nigeria governors by default would rather have nothing to do with restructuring,
to them it is easier to have far less responsibility with greater reward, while you can always justifiably blame Abuja and shout my hands are tied.

Anytime you see them talking about stuffs like restructuring etc, kindly do not take them serious,it just their weak attempt to align with public opinion to be seen as if they are with us.

We should know that the status quo favours them richly, even if they're pressurised to submission, they'll make sure that whatever change people expect are so sluggish that people would even start regretting why they even supported restructuring in the first place cheesy
Exactly, oil dey your brain

Na his recommendations won't work ...we need 6 zones ...let everybody decide which zones they want to be part of ....the states as we have them today can't still function well ..most are mini Nigeria ....kogi ,kwara , kaduna , bauchi, gombe , taraba , rivers , Delta ,Niger , jos

Southern kaduna has no business being in north west , Yorubas have no business being in north central , some part of Niger have no business being in north central,
Oyigbo ,etche , asaba , egebema , omuma have no business being in south south
Same with Igbos in benue and kogi

Let's have 6 zones ..let each zone create as many Provence as they wish in the structure that would fit them

Election should be done by number of zones u win ...u only need to win 4 zones to be president
Number of voters in each zone done really matter ...

Anytime, and I mean, Any given time Nigerian politician (of any extraction and religion) talks about restructuring, I just yawn and go back to sleep.

Everyone with a head knows El-Rufai would like to be President of Nigeria. It is his constitutional right to aspire no doubt and he will say these things aloud so as to identify with the people of South western Nigeria whilst assuring his kinsmen in private of the direct opposite.

And Fayemi, seemingly has joined the ranks of career politicians hence his lending himself to be the useful idiot, the perfect tool to fulfill their aim, a Yoruba Christian.

The only people who can demand and eventually effect restructuring are the Nigerian people, specifically of southern extraction. What has held this back has been the naivette of the average Yoruba man coupled with the disunity among southern nigeria tribes, do not worry that is all coming to an end very soon.

Restructuring indeed...let's see what you'll say/do next.

Oin grin

Short man devil thats not the kind of restructuring we need. Heck ! we need a total overhaul because the system is so rotten it reeks.

What we need is a weaker centre right now the centre is so powerful it hurts.

A centre overseen by a prime minister that only controls customs, International Relations/Diplomacy, DSS&DHQ, and the Millitary, High Tech development and infrastructure

And zones/provinces thats been controlled by a governor and mayors. which would be in charge of the internal developments.

Let me tell you that will be the begging of our problems.
We have to work on ourselves first, else we will still take our old selves into the new Nations created from Nigeria.

That's what they say and how they talk but let them get into power, they change tune.

It is never in the interest of the Fulani oligarchy to restructure because it will terminate their Dan Fodio Fulani's expansionist idea of conquering the whole of Nigeria as their territory...
