The alphabets P O L I starts the two major problem facing us in this country, POLItician and POLIce...

They both claim they have the interest of the people at heart but that is a big fat lie...

They both work hand-in-hand, the bond between them strong pas covalent bond..

The day the bond breaks, that is the day we gain our true independence...

EBMedia:
A lawyer, Joseph Arikpo has accused a DPO and his officers in Cross River State of brutalising him when he went to solicit the bail of a young man who had been in detention for over six days, IgbereTV reports.

According to the Calabar based lawyer, the incident happened at the Divisional Police Headquarters in Ikom, on Sunday, November 8.

Narrating his ordeal on Tuesday morning, November 10, Arikpo said trouble started when the DPO called him a stupid man.

Arikpo claimed that when he asked not to be insulted, the DPO 'punched him repeatedly and afterwards threw him into cell where he was further assaulted by some officers.'

Thank God.

When poor Nigerian youths were complaining, lawyers thought is was mere accusation.

Very soon politicians will start receiving their own share of this national cake.

Do you know why they can do that to a lawyer?
Because " Lady Justice" is a prostitute. Give her money or threaten her, her legs will be wide open...
Nobody respects lawyers anymore, because they've sold their integrity to the highest bidder..
Before Now, nobody wants to have anything to do with annoying a lawyer, but now, a police man can beat him up and force him to write a statement against his will...
Guess what? The NBA of the state will be threaten and nothing will happen..
Nigerian Judiciary System Has Been Disintegrated by our judges and politicians...

I still believe NBA don't know their social responsibilities,
it's good this brutality happened to their member.
NBA should rise up and make sure this man get justice.
If a learned person could be assaulted, what is the faith of ordinary man on the street?

Police brutality can never end
Especially in this part of the world
Even in develop climes it is used for violent class of offenders

In the concept of policing, there is what Is called commensurate force

Though it is not to be used to intimidate the civil populace or as a means to extort them or force a confession out of them

Commensurate force Is conventionally allowed on suspects who turn violent, attempts to escape, attempts to cause bodily harm to himself or others and so on

But it must be commensurate and used within the armbit of the law

VOTE RULE OF LAW

How can endsars protest have any effect when the politicians and political leaders have started arresting and detaining the youths who participated in the protest and the youths are keeping quiet. Now, they are saying the live video recorded by DJ switch is doctored and they are looking to arrest her...they have even bribed some stupid youths to start online campaign against the lady who went through such horrible experience in the hands of the military men that night. They said the video was doctored and therefore she spread fake news.

This is to tell all of us that our leaders are not ready to effect any change and even have the temerity to deny the carnage they committed that night at Lekki toll gate. Now, they are victimizing youths whose only offence is asking for end to Police impunity.

This is absolutely and unequivocally reprehensible. If the story is true and NBA does not do anything or fails to achieve success in the prosecution of the DPO and his cohorts, I will come back to this platform to call the NBA or the court (whichever lets the culprits escape justice) toothless bulldogs. While growing up, I was taught that the judiciary is the last hope of the common man. I'll reserve my comments on what I think about the judiciary until the end of this case!!!

Irrespective of a lawyers qualifications, he is not suppose to be assaulted by anyone not even a police officer.
Before now when lawyers say I will sue you, People shivers, because his colleagues and judges will bounce on you for embarrassing or trying to embarrass one of their own..Now, Pay the judge something..wala..he or she will open their legs
