please nairalanders I'm battling depression right now. I can't open up to persons because I barely talk to people and I don't have much friends.
Please I'll be glad if you can contribute by listing the steps in fighting depression. I'm a type of person who believes in speaking to your inner demons. So personal remedies will be appreciated.

Raise your vibration


1)Stay away from things that make you feel sad eg people, porn, masturbation, drugs alcohol, gamblingetc
2)Start mindfulness meditation
3)Start exercising(cardio or weight lifting)
4)Reduce intake of meat
5)Start coming outside more
6)If you're religious, pray
Take my no 1 advice seriously. I can bet it you're involved in one of those vices, whatever it is, start making small steps to stop it

@Eryyy92, OK! FIRST OFF, do NOT ever attempt to commit suicide from depression due to academic challenges or low grades like some have done in the past because of shame, when they could have simply changed their courses of study to reflect their passions and not based on parental and/societal expectations. I assume you are in a uni or poly? Am I right? So here are some more PRICELESS strategies from my over four decades of existence in time and space. 1. Use YouTube to get more info about any academic course work you don't understand by typing into the search box and free videos from American/U.K. university lecturers will pop up. 2. Read up on EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE or use YouTube so that you can gain more perspective on life skills and lift the blanket of depression. All the best!
