Celestial beings or entities don't get destroyed. They could be bound like demons but can't be destroyed. Secondly, the earth was already in existence prior to the creation of man. The first thing Genesis 1 records God created was the "heaven and earth". But most people don't realise the years-gap between verse 1 and 2, hence the confusion. Alot of things happened between those verses that wasn't even recorded.

Your question has a lot of sense . Take note that Satan was a Faithful person from start, but has freewill, ... Along the line he entertained wrong thoughts and this led him to fall Adam and Eve .

Now concerning why God hasn't destroy him.

Satan didnt challenge God's power !!! If he does, God would have ended him immediately.

Satan Called God a Liar to Adam and Eve, moreover he also said they can rule themselves , Genesis 3:5 " For God knows that in the very day you eat from it, your eyes will be opened and YOU WILL BE LIKE GOD,
knowing good and bad "

In other words, You don't need God to make decisions for you, you can RULE yourself.

So God gave mankind and Satan time to rule themselves and let's know who is Lying or saying the truth.

Imagine if God killed them immediately ? Many people will no matter how God bless us still say Life would have been better if God allowed them to rule themselves , even the Angels watching will doubt God.

So giving space for Satan and mankind to rule themselves is God's wisdom . So currently Satan rule the world ( Luke 4:6) and we all see the negative effects , very soon God will undo all Satan has done through his Kingdom , check this link to read about that Kingdom and why we need it

There are so many people that have asked this question including those who are currently religious. You need to understand that God is avery supreme being and he therefore does not reason like us. He wants us to be the ones to fight off satan from our lives before we can be with him. You just need to have faith in HIm.

If you are a true believer of God then you will ask yourself this question at one point in your life as you think about why God doesn't just end the suffering and let us go to eternal life. God wants us to fight our own battles first before he can come in and save us. That is the test of faith that he has given us and you have to pass it if you want to enjoy what he has to offer.

Some people don't just get it

Satan is a creation of God, the leader of the negative forces, a god, an important being in the grand scheme of life, a loyal entity doing exactly what It was assigned to do.

Same love God has for you and all other Souls is what God has for It. If God wouldn't destroy you, be sure It won't destroy it either.
