Why not reach out to your designated school officer and state your concerns? He or she is in the best position to advise on how to fill the form and compulsory tests you need to do.

You've got your financial covered by assistantship and fellowship and waiver. So ask them questions. They are willing to answer you.

Ock4:
Just got admitted into University at Buffalo PhD program for fall 22(social welfare). COA 45k. Tuition 23k(waived), assistantship 20k, fellowship 8k.

My question is: I saw something about submitting a health background form(download fill etc) I want to know how to go about it - do I print the form and give to a health practitioner to fill? Without showing proof of taking those vaccines(measles and co vaccines)? (Aside Covid-19 cert of course)

- Also as POF I should submit the admission letter right? If yes - the part where the sponsor is meant to sign on the financial form do I leave that blank?

Any other advice please bring it on. Thanks

Thanks so much.
The issue now is that I am f2, I did exactly what you said here now but I can't find a place to update my application ID on F1's CGI portal.

Does it mean I don't need to bother about that?

Is this editing the DS-160 or creating a new application?

beejhay69:
Have you submitted the Ds-160? If Yes, no issues.
Go to the Ds page and fill all the fields then click on "create new application".
Some of your previous datas would come up.
Fill columns that are void with the accurate information you want to input.
Review, and Submit.
Click on "Print confirmation" Download the final copy.
Note the new Ds confirmation number. Go back to your cgi page, update your profile with the new Ds code.
Print out all updated docs and go for your interview.
All the above to be done 72hrs PRIOR your appointment date.
Hope this helps. ✌

I want to ask about loan for international student. I realised my school is not part of the listed school. For Mpower, or prodigy. The international loan that has my school on it has a co signer of Us Citizen. How do I go about this?

Good afternoon all,
please i have a couple of questions regarding F2 visas. please don't scroll pass this...thank you

My husband is in US on F1 visa, for about a year now. he has applied for us, myself and 2 kids(minors) but getting an interview date for 3 slots is a major challenge as i have been on it for a while.
i am thinking of using alternative options but i would like to know
1) is it advisable to split the dates into two within a short period such that i go first and then take my kids along for their own interview?
2) should i use them as home tie instead and go visiting my hubby for say 2 weeks, then when i come back, i can apply for their own dates and travel with them finally( this is going to be very expensive but if i have to do it, i will)
3) should i keep hoping 3 slots will open( according to the agent helping me monitor the dates who keeps saying i should be patient)
PS: i am trying to travel before July sha (i dont want to have to renew my passport plus i wanna be with him in july tongue)
anyway,, any helpful suggestions are needed please.

Many Thanks bro...

TeeD:

Declare it in the form, don't falsify facts. It helps if your school is not in the same state as said brother. I hope he's not your sponsor lol. You don't need to emphasize different mother, doesn't matter.

Just say you guys talk once in a blue moon. Don't portray to know too much about him, might give up vibes that you're going to live with him and immigrate. All the best.
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by chibertha(f): 5:28pm On Apr 12, 2022
Businesses can sponsor but they must be big-time businesses with plenty of reputations and a lot of documentation is involved
like bond letter
study leave
appointment letter
your job position must be relevant to the training
you do not want to go into that trust me.

Festusile:
Does that mean a company cannot sponsor her staff for studies in the US?
For me, I think a business/company account statement attached with a bank letter of confirmation of the account signatory(ies) ((signatories could be director(s) and/or accountant(s)), and the signatory(ies) would sign the Financial Support Forms or affidavit as the case may be. My Opinion though!!! But if you still have any reservation or contrary opinion or experience, you may share... I am very willing to learn.

Thanks

After proper evaluation, I figured that the issue isn’t home ties. Reason because there are usually 4 home ties you could use. Professional, Marriage, Business and properties.

I use professional. I work with a Microsoft Partner here in Nigeria in line with my intended course of study.

The point is that, The VO figured that since I am on a loan, I will be tied in the US to repay the loan before coming back. That means I haven’t provided sufficient reason to come back after school.

If I have full funding, I can prove to the VO that I don’t have anything to do in the US once I am done with my studies then come back to my company to pick a managerial role based on my new degree.

I hope this helps.

Hi. What if you have an uncle resident in Nigeria who's willing to sponsor you 100%?

I'm just asking.

It will be easy to correct the birth certificate than the passport, go to National Population Commission and ask. I've done it before. You'll be asked to get Court affidavit as an attestation to that change, not hard.

Please in a situation where my employer is sponsoring me, what documents am I to provide?

It will be a bit difficult getting office bank statement (confidentiality).

Is there any other way to go about it?

Okay.
You should look out for leasing office around your school, it's safer. Coppin State University has about 3 around it. It's a black neighborhood and not far from Penn station. You may want to look closer to the school environment better than further. It's dangerous. Morgan State has student housing around the school area. Also a black neighborhood. Loch Raven apartment is not far from the school if you are looking for affordable leasing office. You can also get some other ones. Towson University has a lot of leasing apartment very close to the school too. If your school is Downtown Baltimore (University of Maryland-Med school, University of Baltimore) you may want to consider housing options provided by your school because it's expensive compare to other part. There are some students that stays around Hollins (close to university of Maryland hospital) so you can consider that has well. For Johns Hopkins University, they have students housing close to the school, Rotunda and the likes. All schools in Baltimore city have easy access to buses and train so transportation shouldn't be a problem.
You may want to consider sharing apartment (in fact you should) because rent ranges between $1300-$1500 including/excluding utility. If you want to move in with your family (dependants) then you can look at the county areas that have easy access to buses and trains. Houses on Windsor Mill road, Windsor Forest Apartment Gwynn Oak etc.

If you totally want to leave far from the city then consider Owings Mills. Lots of Nigerians, lots of stores, far from all the schools in Baltimore but there are buses and a direct train to the city.

Hope this helps
