I have been worried sick on paying for MRV and booking for visa interview. I understand that only far dates are available now, and I can reschedule.

My confusion
I saw online that if you pick the far date, that you cannot reschedule for an earlier date. That is, if I pick Feb 2023 for instance, would I be able to reschedule when closer and favourable date for 2022 appears.

My questions
1. Should I just wait until those favourable dates for fall 2022 are listed before going ahead with paying the visa fee at GTBank?

2. Can I pick any far date and still be eligible to reschedule for an earlier date?

3. If I go ahead with (1), when does the ds160 that I fill expire and what can I do to ensure it remains valid?
NOTE: I only filled and saved the ds160, I am yet to submit it

4. Lastly, please someone should help guide me on how to schedule interview such that myself and my family would attend at the same time. Do I pay our visa fee together or separately or how? Please I have no clue as this is my first time, help!!!

You need to be in the US at least 2weeks before your program start date.
Infact, before classes begin, there'd be orientations and registrations which needs to be done a week earlier.
So for intended travel date, pick a date that is before your program start date ie July 30th.
So you can go for dates from July 15-25th

In my DS-160, when I’m filling the intended travel date, do I pick a time that is before 30th July (Program start date), say 25th of July or I can pick a date that is after program start date but not before 9th August (start of classes) , say 1st August.

I know that it’s just an estimate but I no want make mistake dey my DS-160, so if anyone has an idea, please answer.

You can use anyone’s bank statement as POF.

As long as you are able to convincingly explain to the VO why that person would be spending such funds for your studies.

pls you do not need to pay another visa fee, just email the embassy, uploading your i20 and explain yourself to them.

i had a friend in same situation last year. Email them.

good day everyone, please my brother applied to Lagos but couldn't get a date but going for summer intake and he Applied for emergency appointment but was denied so he had to change to Abuja, buy unfortunately for him he could get a nearer date also in abuja and the emergency request form did not show anymore on the Portal for him to apply for emergency appointment to Abuja and he will be resuming to school by next month on the 9, please what can he do and how can he get a nearer date. although he has emailed Abuja but they haven't replied him yet.

I'm going for my second interview but nothing has since my first interview,i dont know what to say if i am asked ‘what has changed since your first interView?’ because i only deffered my admission and i dont know if that enough reason.

Declare it in the form, don't falsify facts. It helps if your school is not in the same state as said brother. I hope he's not your sponsor lol. You don't need to emphasize different mother, doesn't matter.
