Al Shabab means , in English, 'The Youth'...so the meaning of the name of the club would be somehting like 'The Youth FC.'(like the Tanzanian club Young Boys FC, for example). The club was founded in 1947...and orginally called Shabab Al Riyadh or The Youth of Riyadh fc (Riyadh is the capital of Saudi...) and was renamed in 1967.
