cockerey takes 5-7 months to mature completely. U should just free them to go about so as to enable them grow cuz if u say u want to be buying feeds-hmm they will eat and eat d whole capital n everything. Dont waste ur money on cockerey cuz they are jst like d local fowls. So u should plan on freeing them soon. But u shuld have opted for a day old broiler chick and not a day old cockery chick; a broiler will reach close to 3kg plus at maximum 12weeks before xmas n with lots of fleshy meat if the all its feeds are given. Unlike d cockerey, they can grow rily fast in the pen house without going about. Hope u got my email.

FarmTech:
..
If u can afford it, go for lab test with live birds. They'll conduct what's called "antibiotic sensitivity test" that will enable u know antibiotics that will work and those that will not. When I did mine, I found out that my birds are resistant to augmentin, fosfotrim, streptomycin, oxytetracycline and colistin. That means if I give my birds antibiotics containing any of these chemicals as the main content, a lot of birds might not respond to the treatment.

@farmtech how much does the antibiotics sensitivity test cost

Your broilers are 8wks, and u are keeping them 4 about 16 more wks.

I believe disposing dem now and stocking new 1s will be much more profitable.
